Let It Shine
Chapter 2: Rain
Zach’s POV
I always thought the rain was magical it always makes me feel so happy. I was enraged with the idea of Taylor coming over but now I feel so relived, I won’t let Taylor get to me no not no more.
I’m having so much fun running in the rain with my best friend. I wonder what Kaylee is doing… I ‘m going to talk to her on Monday and ask her out.
“Hey, Zach, how bout we call Kira?” Cam asked
“Sure.” I replied. I wonder if she is still mad at me. After Cam called her she got here in five minutes.
“Hey guys.” she said
“Hey.” I whispered
“Do you guys want to stay in the rain or go inside?” Cameron asked
“I would rather stay in the rain but whatever.” I said
“So what do you think Kira?” Cameron asked her
“I’m ok with Zach’s idea.” Kiki said
Kiara’s POV
When I got to Cam’s house I saw they were soaked from head to toe, but what I noticed the most was Zach’s big smile. I wonder if he is still mad at me I’m still kind of mad at him but I could never stay mad at him for long. I think I should talk to him. I was about to talk to him when he started running around the yard. I looked at Cam and gave him a look like saying what got into him.
“Guys come have some fun!” Zach yelled running around
Cam gave me a look and I nodded yes. We both ran and tried to tackle Zach but he turned around and saw us coming and he moved so we fell to the ground. The only think I heard was Zach’s laughter.
“Oh you did it boy.” Cam said he helped me up and said “Let’s get him!”
We started chasing him. I had forgotten how fast he was.
“You can’t catch me! You can’t catch me! You slow pokes!” Zach yelled
We charged at Zach and we slipped on the wet grass since it was still raining. Zach was laughing so hard he fell to the ground, he was laughing uncontrollably. I got up and started tickling him, Zach is very ticklish.
“Stop! Stop! Stop!” Zach pleaded, he went wild he was laughing, screaming, and kicking.
“Guys…stop… stop!” he yelled as Cam and I kept tickling him
We tickled him for another five minutes because his face turned so red we were afraid he would pass out.
“High five.” I said to Cam
Zach was still on the ground catching his breath when his phone started ringing
“Hey…oh really…great…ok…bye.” Zach said into his phone
“Who was that?” I asked
“My mom. Well I have to go now.” he said
“Bye.” Cam and I said at the same time
Zach’s POV
I live five houses away from Cameron so I didn’t have to walk far. When I walked in the door everyone turned and looked at me.
“What happened to you?” Mom asked mad and concerned
“Cam and I walked home from school and we stayed outside in the rain at Cam’s.” I said
“Oh, Zach, what am I going to do with you.” she said
“Maybe you could start by making me some hot chocolate.” I said putting my biggest smile trying to convince her
“Fine” she said “Would you guys want some as well?” she asked everyone in the living room
“Hi everyone.” I said turning from my mom
“Hi, Zach.” everyone said except Taylor
“Zach, I missed you so much!” Kristen said as she jumped at me, she is Taylor’s little sister, she is 8 years old.
“I’ve missed too.” I said hugging her tight “well know your all wet, sorry.” I said letting her go
“I don’t care.” she said hugging me again
“I gotta go change.” I said and walked up stairs to my room
I threw my backpack to the floor and grabbed so new cloths and went to take a shower. As I was taking my shower I thought about everything that happened today and when I thought of Kaylee and I couldn’t stop smiling.
I walked in my room and see Taylor sitting on my bed.
“What are you doing here!?” I asked irritated
“I just want to spend some time with my favorite cousin.” she said pretending to be all innocent
“Well I need to change so get out!”
“But I don’t want to leave.”
“Get OUT!” I yelled and my mom came in
“What’s going on in here?” she asked
“Zach, why are you only wearing a towel?” she asked confused
“When I came to my room Taylor was here and now she won’t leave.” I said
“Can you please leave Zach alone so he can change.” mom said to her
“Okay auntie.” Taylor said all innocently and when my mom left she gave me an evil glare and walked away.
I walked downstairs and that all the adults were in the kitchen and Vic and Kristen were watching the Fairly Oddparents, and Taylor was on her phone. I just walked in the kitchen and said hi to everyone there.
“Oh, Zach, you have gotten so big since the last time I saw you.” my aunt said. The last time I saw them was two years ago.
My uncle came up to me and shook my hand.
“So do you have a girlfriend?” he asked jokingly and I blushed
“No I don’t.” I said grabbing my mug and serving myself hot chocolate
“Oh really.” he said
“No.” I replied
“Henry leave Zach alone.” my aunt said to my uncle “and don’t listen to him.” she said to me and I walked out to the living room
“Why are you blushing?” Kristen asked me and Taylor looked
“Yeah, Zach, why you blushing?” Taylor said
“None of your business.” I said sitting on the couch and took a sip from my hot chocolate
“Zach, can we go to the park or do something fun outside?” Kristen said sitting next to me
“No not today its still raining outside, I promise I will take you tomorrow.” I said
“But you were out in the rain.” she said pouting
“I just don’t want you to get sick ok.” I said
“Were you with Kira and Cam?” Vic asked me and I nodded yes
“Who’s this Kira?” Taylor asked
“His girlfriend.” Kristen said
“She is not my girlfriend!” I said
“Liar.” Taylor said
“She is my best friend so shut up, Taylor.”
“Zach Porter, did you just tell me to shut up?”
“Yes I did.”
“Oh no you didn’t.”
“Stop! Don’t hit him.” Kristen said
“Kristen, stay out of this.” Taylor said
“No.”
“How is an 8 year old going to stop me.” Taylor said and she was about to slap her
“Don’t you dare touch her.” I said getting serious
“I can do what I want with her she is MY sister.” Taylor said
“Not in my house, if you hurt her you will regret it. C’mon guys we don’t need her.” I said and we went up to my room
Kiara’s POV
I’m having such a good time with Cam, after Zach left we stayed in the rain a bit longer then we went inside and watched movies while eating popcorn. My mom just called me she wants me to go home so I say bye to Cam and walk home. The moment I walked in my mom got mad at me for being so wet and started yelling at me and I just walked upstairs.
I went to look out my window and saw Zach getting out of his window and climbing up a tree. There is a tree that links our houses with its branches.
“Zach, what are you doing?” I asked confused
“Shhh.” he said placing a finger over his mouth “I’m hiding.”
“Oh are you're playing Hide n’ Seek?”
“Yes.”
“Zach! Zach! Zach! Where are you!” I heard a little girl yell
“Zach, you know were gonna find you!” I heard Vic yell
5 minutes later Vic and the girl have up and Zach revealed himself and when he jumped in his room they tackled him. I just laughed. Oh Zach I thought and I closed the window. I felt really tired so when I dropped to my bed I blacked out

Kiara’s POV

“Guys…stop… stop!” he yelled as Cam and I kept tickling him
We tickled him for another five minutes because his face turned so red we were afraid he would pass out.
“High five.” I said to Cam

I walked in my room and see Taylor sitting on my bed.
“What are you doing here!?” I asked irritated

“Well I need to change so get out!”
“But I don’t want to leave.”
“Get OUT!” I yelled and my mom came in
“What’s going on in here?” she asked
“Zach, why are you only wearing a towel?” she asked confused
“When I came to my room Taylor was here and now she won’t leave.” I said
“Can you please leave Zach alone so he can change.” mom said to her
“Okay auntie.” Taylor said all innocently and when my mom left she gave me an evil glare and walked away.
I walked downstairs and that all the adults were in the kitchen and Vic and Kristen were watching the Fairly Oddparents, and Taylor was on her phone. I just walked in the kitchen and said hi to everyone there.
“Oh, Zach, you have gotten so big since the last time I saw you.” my aunt said. The last time I saw them was two years ago.

“Henry leave Zach alone.” my aunt said to my uncle “and don’t listen to him.” she said to me and I walked out to the living room
“Why are you blushing?” Kristen asked me and Taylor looked
“Yeah, Zach, why you blushing?” Taylor said
“None of your business.” I said sitting on the couch and took a sip from my hot chocolate
“Zach, can we go to the park or do something fun outside?” Kristen said sitting next to me
“No not today its still raining outside, I promise I will take you tomorrow.” I said
“But you were out in the rain.” she said pouting
“I just don’t want you to get sick ok.” I said
“Were you with Kira and Cam?” Vic asked me and I nodded yes
“Who’s this Kira?” Taylor asked
“His girlfriend.” Kristen said
“She is not my girlfriend!” I said
“Liar.” Taylor said
“She is my best friend so shut up, Taylor.”
“Zach Porter, did you just tell me to shut up?”
“Yes I did.”
“Oh no you didn’t.”
“Stop! Don’t hit him.” Kristen said
“Kristen, stay out of this.” Taylor said

Kiara’s POV
