Unexpected
Anastasia
Why was he here? What was e doing? Anastasia's mind raced.
How did he find this place? She crept into her hiding place and waited.
His footsteps came nearer, and Anastasia was scared.
His shadow danced in the candlelight, and she silently came out of the spidery closet to face him.
As he walked into her, he got a fright. He couldn't see her. It made him cringe.
"Get out of my house!" he shouted. It made Anastasia cry tears nobody could see.
She went back to her hiding spot, trying to escape this man. His name was Dane, she knew. As if the house didn't already hold enough bad memories for her.
Dane escaped the room by running down the stairs and lighting all the candles. Perhaps he could escape this feeling?
He didn't sleep that night.
And neither did she.
