18 year old Alena Kovalev remains as rebellious as the day after her parent's nasty divorce, and father's subsequent move to Ottawa. She was once a piano child prodigy, but gave it up after the divorce. Juilliard School has been interested in her since she was young, but Alena has refused to attend.
Now Alexei Kovalev has the chance to reconnect with his daughter and his son, Nikolai, when their mother Evgeniya sends the two kids to live with him in Pittsburgh. Alexei, a nhl hockey player now playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins is up for the challenge.
