Sequel: We'll Be Okay

Race Against Time

Come Back To Me

It took everything in me not to go after her. I looked at Danny and I could tell he was feeling the same way. I looked over at Levi and for the first time, I saw the man tearing up. Isabella was his beloved little sister. He said something in Italian, sitting down at the table. Bruno looked devastated. His girlfriend was leaving, as well as one of his other co-workers.
"Be safe, Montana", Danny whispered. I looked down at my hands, sitting at the table as well. All we could do was wait till we were called to the CCTV to listen in on shifts.
"They're leaving now, you can go say your final goodbyes", Lewis said. I stood up and practically raced them to the door. I practically crushed Isabella in a final hug, giving her one last kiss. I chuckled and gave Lindsay a hug as well.

"Be careful, Montana. You and Hellfire over here have to stick together", I told her. She smiled, shaking a bit. They all looked completely different. Isabella's crowning glory, her long, silky hair had been cut short, nearly to her chin and dyed a reddish-brown. She had been given other clothes and was now in a mini-dress and jacket instead of her pants and T-shirt.
Lindsay's honey-colored hair had been dyed a dark brown. Aria's had been dyed dark brown as well. Alexis' hair had been kept the same, just chopped short.
Isabella looked up at me, unclasping something from around her neck. It was one of her most treasured possessions, her white gold locket that was a Pacino family heirloom and handed it to Levi.
"If something happens, give this to Mariah", she said, hugging him tightly. I knew she didn't want to lose it.
"Ti amo, grande fratello", she said in Italian.
She hugged me tightly again, giving me another kiss. She pulled a folded-up piece of paper and pressed it to my palm.
"Don't read it till I'm in", she said. I nodded, kissing her again. Now they had to go. The women all walked off. I felt like a hole was in my chest as she walked away. She gave me a sad smile as she disappeared outside. Levi was looking at the locket in his hand, fingering the delicate chain.
"What did she say in Italian?" I asked.
"I love you, big brother", he and Danny replied in unison. I had forgotten Danny was half-Italian as well. He didn't look it and he didn't act like it either. We were all told to go, and we would be paged when everything happened. I sat at my desk, listening to music and trying to get my mind off of Isabella and Lindsay. Of course, the song that came on wasn't helping at all. My sister had gotten me into the song, 'Come Back To Me' by David Cook. I saw Levi chuckling at his phone. He saw me watching him.

"Sorry, I'm watching a video of Isabella and Sarah singing in the kitchen when they thought no one was looking. They do that all the time", he explained, holding up his phone. They were singing into spoons and pointing to each other, singing at the top of their lungs to each other. Lewis, Mac, and Scythe came in.
"You guys, to the CCTV, they're being approached", Lewis said, going out the door. I got up, following them. We had a visual on them now. Isabella was casually walking down the street, chatting easily on the phone. Someone was walking up behind her, carrying a rag. He grabbed her from behind. She dropped her phone, writhing against her attacker. I knew and so did everyone else, that if she tried, she could've gotten away home-free. It was the hardest thing to watch.
"I can't look", Levi muttered. Isabella was being dragged into a van, her body limp. It was time to let Aria loose. She had fought against her assailant before being dragged away as well. Same with Lindsay, which was hard for both Danny, Mac, and me to watch. I'd known Lindsay since her first day on the job, she'd become like a sister to me. I didn't know Alexis, so it wasn't hard to watch her get taken.

All we could do was wait. That was the worst part of all. I muttered the line of the song under my breath.
"When you find you, come back to me"
