Gorgeous Nightmare

“Lily,” I slowly looked up from my textbook to my doorway where he stood.

“What do you want?” I spat.

“Just to spend some time with my daughter,” He walked in and took a seat at the edge of my bed.

I cringed when he said daughter but didn’t speak.

“I was thinking we could go out today.” He shrugged as if it were normal.

“When hell freezes over,” I hissed.

“What was that?” He leaned over and grabbed me by my neck, squeezing lightly.

I gulped trying to breathe.

“I said; what was that?” His grip tightened with every word.

“I’d love to,” I forced out and he released me causing me to gasp for air.

He laughed and stood up.

“I’ll go tell Robert we’re hanging out.” He left me and I sat there.

I walked to the living room to find Robert and Luke in there.

“Lily you really wanna hang out with Luke?” I looked up.

Time to start lying again.

Slipping on my emotionless face I nodded.

“Of course,” Robert nodded buying it and smiled.

“Well you got your bank card, have fun.”

Crap!

Luke looked over and I could already read his face.

Bank card? A sadistic grin spread across his lips as he walked to the door and motioned for me to follow.

We got outside and walked to his car.

“You never told me you had a bank card.” He smirked getting in and motioning for me to also. “Looks like I found some use to you being here.” He smiled started the car.
