Lying to Your Face
Max’s POV
I walked up the stairs after Luke didn’t return and stopped when I saw Lily and him at the top; she looked pale and sick to her stomach and his face was dangerously close to hers.
“That wasn’t by choice you sick fuck.” She spat and I cocked an “eyebrow”.
Luke chuckled darkly before giving her a peck on the cheek and leaving her stunned.
I took this as my cue to clear my throat and call attention to myself. Her eyes shot up to meet mine and they clouded over in an emotionless stare as her face turned blank.
“You alright?” I asked and she nodded once.
I walked towards her and put my hand on her cheek.
“Lily,” I whispered. “Don’t lie to me,” she looked at me a moment before shaking her head.
“I’m not Max.” With that she turned and walked away.
I stood there in shock; she just lied straight to my face.
