*Echo’s POV*

“ECHO!!!!” my father’s voice bellowed as me and Gabe wrestled on the floor.
“WHAT?????” I hollered back, throwing in another good punch before I rolled off of Gabe.
“Damn, nice shot boy.” Gabe said, cracking his jaw back in place.
“We have a loose demon. Can you go get him? He’s attacking a human girl right now!” he called almost as though it was a chore that I forgot to do.
“Sure pops!”
With a snap of my fingers and a sarcastic click of my fake ruby slippers later, I was off.
To change into something new forever.
*Girl’s POV*

I slowly came awake to a bright light, and a gorgeous man.
Have I died and gone to Heaven?
The man had a red glow about him, and he had his foot firmly, and slowly, very slowly was pressing it deeper into the demon-thing’s throat.
“Stupid fuck. Try to escape from Hell, do you boy? Torture a few more souls? Oh, you’re
gonna pay for that. You are gonna wish you were dead.”
He punctuated each word in the last sentence with a jab of his foot, the demon-thing’s throat closed and it was choking with horrible, wheezing sounds.
“Sorry, Master.” it wheezed, barely audible.
“This is one thing “Sorry” can’t fix, demon.”
And with one last stab of his toes, the thing burst into dust.
Then, the angel-person-thing turned to me, his back straight.
“Hey there sweetheart.” He had the sexiest voice, like velvet to my ears.
“Hi.” I replied weakly, one because I was weak
from my injuries, and two, he was freaking HOT!
He cocked his head to the side, gazing at me with a confused gaze.
“Hmmm, you’re special, aren’t you, little one?”
“Not that I know of.” I replied.
“Yeah you are. To me anyway.”
Then a searing pain flashed over me again, and again, I blacked out.
