Harmonies and Melodies

"You've never had sex before?" Bam demanded, throwing me on his bed. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I'm only sixteen." I stated, not really looking at him. "And we've never talked about it."

"Yeah, but we've come really close to it!" He exclaimed.

I just shrugged.

He didn't say anything. Instead, he kissed me roughly.



I walked out the back door, looking for Harmony.

I really needed to talk to her.

I saw her screaming at some random woman.

Johnny had his arms around Mo, trying to calm her down.

"Shut up, you stupid bitch!" The strange woman yelled, getting in Mo's face.

Damn. Mo was probably about to knock her out. But if Mo got in a fight, she'd go to jail. If she went to jail, I wouldn't have a best friend! Panicked, I ran over to her. Just in time. She pushed Johnny back slightly, and pulled her fist back. Just as she was about to swing, I grabbed her wrist.

"Bad idea, Homie." I stated, not letting go of her hand.

Shocked, she spun around. "Let me go, Melody."

"It's Redneck, and no." I said, sensing her extreme anger.

"I swear, I will hit you if you don't let me go." She seethed.

"No you won't." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Redneck, can you take her inside, please?" Johnny asked, suddenly looking a lot older.

"Yeah." I said, dragging my best friend inside. "What's going on, Mo?"

"That bitch came in here and started going off on me!" She said angrily.

"I think you should set down." I said as she began pacing the room.

She was making me nervous.

She sighed and set down. Her anger was fading away slowly. Maybe then, she'd tell me what was going on.

"We've been yelling at each other for a long time." Mo said slowly. "I'm suprised you didn't hear us. What were you doing?"

I didn't say anything. I looked everywhere but at her.

"No!" She gasped. "You didn't!"

I felt my face turn red. "I did!"

"Ahhh!" She squealed, hugging me tightly. Her anger appeared to be gone.

"Ahh, you're weird." I joked, playfully slapping her.

Then, I realized that she was trying to change the subject.

I was going to call her out, but Chris walked in and interrupted me.

"Mo, Johnny wants you." He said.

She nodded and went to go find her lover.
