Handwritten using a black ball-point pen, the following was found stuffed, slightly damp and bloodstained, into an old envelope stamped and dated from the local bank and propped up on the kitchen counter with the recipient's name written in capitals on the front. the handwritng is shaky and erratic and hard to read in places, full of crossings out but it is just about legible.
