She dumped you, broke your heart. You loved her. I was only there to pick up the pieces.
"Can I spend the night here?" you asked, looking at me with large, teary eyes.
"Of course," I replied and helped you turn the couch into a makeshift bed.
It was past midnight when you crawled into my bed, pressing your thin body to mine. "I love you, Bear," you whispered and if I hadn't been half-asleep, I would've realized that you were desperate, that you were lying.
"I love you too, Ryan," I murmured back and our lips met in a sloppy kiss.
There was tension, guilt, and oh-so-much regret in the morning.
"You took advantage of me!" you screamed. "You knew I wasn't in my right mind!"
