Lips of a Liar

Informing

Monday morning, Zacky was running around frantically trying to finish the project he and Brian had been assigned and never finished. He had woken up at three thirty in the morning, when he had suddenly remembered the Biology project. Papers were laying everywhere around his room, papers scrunched together, including wrong calculations and horrible written reports. Zack tried his best to keep his noise to a low level, knowing his mother, Zina and Jimmy were sleeping. He took one of the plants he was using for the project and inspected it, trying to find a reason and a way to make the plants give off electricity. He had tried every single way he thought that would make them give off electricity but with no success. Maybe he wasn't doing it right, with all the frustration he probably thought that was it. But his mind couldn't concentrate. He had thoughts about the project mixing with his thoughts of Brian. It wasn't the best thing to do, and it made him angry to no end. Part of him wanted to forgive Brian for his actions yesterday. Though he made himself clear to not do that. Brian made Zacky suffer, so he would do the same, ten times worst.

When he looked at the ticking-clock, he suppressed a gasp. It was already five in the morning, exactly. His eyelids were growing heavy, but he maintained them open. He reached toward the glass of cold Coke on his night stand. Slowly drinking away, he made himself more comfortable on the wooden chair he had been sitting for almost two hours. He looked at his mother's favorite plant, and inspected it a little longer before he came to a conclusion. Frantically he looked for his pencil in the mid darkness that surrounded him, finally finding it and beginning to write down his conclusion that just might get him a B. And to Brian? His hand was starting to cramp, and he stopped for a bit to relax his hand and then started to write once again. As he finished, he looked at the clock, five ten, then looked back at his finished paper. He sighed in relief and stood up, stretching his sore and numb muscles. Whilst he stretched his legs, he walked over to his desk and took the plant in his hands.

He walked slowly down the stairs, going as quiet as he could. At the last step, he made a turn and walked to the left. He opened the backyard door and sat the plant down on the concrete path. Turning around, he made his way back inside closing the door and walking back up the stairs. Already it was five thirty and he decided to get in a few minutes of sleep before he woke up and got ready for school. As he laid down on the messy bed, he threw his arms behind his head and closed his eyes. No sleep came. He sighed and turned over, closing his eyes again, this time trying to clear his head. Though his mind raced with thoughts, and his name. Brian, Brian, Brian. It was driving him insane, and he needed to stop thinking about him. What was it that made Zack fall for Brian in the first place anyway? He'd always been a jerk to him, shouldn't he despise him and not like him? He did indeed despise Brian, but he just couldn't deny he did like the kid. And it bother him more as he thought. Somehow he had an attraction towards him, even though he was such a jerk.

For the last time he closed his eyes, shutting them as tightly as he could. He stayed like that for a mere thirty minutes, and finally opened his eyes. The rising sun, shown it's slight appearance in his window. He propped himself in his elbows, and looked at the clock: Six one. There was no need of sleeping anymore, so instead he stood up and walked to his closet, picking what he would wear. A Misfits shirt, and some dark navy jeans. Swiftly he walked outside his bedroom and went inside the bathroom. As he left his stuff on the counter, he turned his head and looked at the door. Someone was knocking. Jimmy's voice came through the door, asking whoever was inside to get out because he had to go. Zacky chuckled. He opened the door and looked at a jumping Jimmy. Jimmy knew there was another bathroom, so Zack wondered why he had gone all the way up the stairs to knock on an occupied bathroom.

He looked at Jimmy. "There's another bathroom, you know." Zacky smiled up at Jimmy and patted him on the back as he left the bathroom.

Jimmy pushed by him and closed the door, locking it on the process. Zacky couldn't help but chuckle at the act of his best friend. He waited by the door, arms crossed over his chest, and waited for Jimmy to walk out the bathroom. Zack rolled his eyes and sighed. Jimmy had been inside the bathroom for more than ten minutes already. He turned toward the door and began knocking.

"Jimmy get out of the bathroom!" Zacky shouted.

He heard Jimmy moving around the bathroom, and Zack wondered what he was doing. "No!"

Zacky sighed and walked to his room, and walked to his drawer taking a paper clip out and making his way back to the bathroom. He knocked again, asked him to get out and again Jimmy's response was a 'no'. He sighed and unfolded the paper clip. Then he began to unlock the door. As soon as it was, Zack swung the door open, and looked at Jimmy who was making his hair even bigger than before. Zacky stared at him strangely. What was up with Jimmy and his hair? He knew, of course, that Jimmy liked his hair all big. Just didn't know the reason behind it. The brown-blondish hair stood up swiftly and Jimmy stared at Zacky.

"I'm busy," Jimmy said. "Now please close the door."

Zacky stared at him and laughed. "I need a shower. You get out."

Jimmy shook his head and tried pushing Zacky out, but Zack maintained his ground. Both of them gave up after a while and decided Jimmy turn around and Zacky could get his shower. When Zacky was inside the shower, and had pulled the shower curtain, Jimmy decided to make a small talk, about something.

"Hey Zacky," Jimmy said, continuing to make his hair even more bigger. "Why are you and Brian... Mad at each other."

Zack stopped shampooing his hair and looked at his hands. He had finally succeded to get him of his mind, and Jimmy reminds Zack of him. A soft groan left his lips, knowing very well he couldn't lie or get out of a conversation with Jimmy. He continued to shampoo his hair and collected his thoughts. "Uhm, well he and I, well..." For some reason, Zack found it hard to speak. He had gather his words, but they had stuck to his throat and refused to be let out. He gulped and blinked. "He and I kissed, and-"

"Hold on what?" He heard Jimmy gasp. There was a little bit of silence. "You guys kissed? That's great how was it?"

"Jimmy, no." Zacky sighed.

"So is that why-"

"No, that'd be stupid. No, he um, well Adam showed up. And well it went down from there," Zacky sighed. "He saw us, and teased Brian for it. But Brian told him he was messing with me and that why would he want to kiss me. Then he left and well-"

"That son of a bitch." Zack heard Jimmy murmur in a low but very deadly voice.

"Jimmy, please, don't go on and do something stupid, please." Zacky said, now looking at him, while covering himself.

"No, Zack. He hurt you, he deserves to get his ass kicked!"

Zacky sighed. "Listen to me, for a second!" Jimmy looked at him, concern in his features. Zacky looked at him. "Look, it's between me and him." He glared at Jimmy when he tried to interrupt. "I'll deal with it myself. Trust me, he isn't sliding easy."

Zack walked with Jimmy towards the lunch area, Matt and Johnny already waiting for them there. He was glad he hadn't seen any sign of Brian anywhere, not even in class. Most likely, he was absent, and Zacky was grateful for that. He hadn't told Matt or Johnny why he and Brian were mad, which wasn't settling well with both Matt and Johnny. Though, Jimmy had told him he would do it, if he wanted. He refused though, he wanted to do it himself. During Biology, Zacky was the least happy, he wasn't aware that their projects that were assigned had to be presented to the class. And because of Brian's absence, both their grades dropped. He wondered why, but he didn't seem to care. At least his written report got him an A.

His wondering eyes looked around the lunch area, trying to find Brian. He told himself over and over he didn't want to think about him, he should be forgotten, but he couldn't deny he missed seeing him at school, or at least that very day. Minutes before he was glad to not have seen him at school, but for some odd reason now he wanted to. As the guys and Zack walked towards their usual spot, Zacky looked here and there, but no sign of him. He cursed himself for being so needy, his need to see Brian was getting to him. Couldn't he just forget about him for at least a day? Was it much to ask? Yes. No matter how mad he was at him, he wanted to see him. He just couldn't forgive him, and being away from him killed him. But he had to contain himself, he didn't need him then, he wouldn't need him now. The four sat down and Matt handed them a can of Coke to each one of them. As Zack opened his can of soda, he looked over at Jimmy, who nodded at him. Jimmy told him Matt and Johnny had the right to know about the accident. They were of course, his friends, best friends and to Zacky keeping secrets from them was not the best thing to do. He put his drink by his side and crossed his legs, taking a deep breath. When he talked to Jimmy about what happened he nearly shed a tear, though he wouldn't allow himself to do that. He wouldn't cry, he promised himself.

Matt looked at Zacky. "So are you read-"

"Yes, I am." Zacky said cutting Matt off. To him it was rude to do so, but he just wanted to get to the point. "Um, well how do I start?"

"Well, start by what happened on the day we went to the pier. You and Brian stayed together, so I'm assuming something happened there that caused... Well ya know." Johnny replied, looking at Zacky.

Zack nodded and went back to previous scenes. "Brian and I were talking about things, and well, we kissed." He stopped when he heard gasps from Matt and Johnny including Jimmy and he had already heard the story.

"Is this were it gets ugly?" Matt asked. Zacky nodded.

Again drawing some air into his lungs, he looked at his hands. He didn't want to think about it, or talk about it, but they deserved to know. Every detail of it. "Adam showed up while you know. Teased Brian about it and well Brian being who he is, said he was messing with me and why would he want to kiss me. Adam laughed and Brian left with him. Not before looking back at me though, but then I was just angry." He looked up from his hands and watched the mad expressions Matt even Johnny had. Same as Jimmy, and he knew what was coming.

"That dick is gonna get it." Matt yelled, standing up. Zacky shook his head and stood up quickly, shaking his head in front of him.

"Matt, please sit down."

Matt looked at him and sighed. Johnny looked at Zacky. "Man, Brian needs some serious brain checking! Zack you can't tell us you're gonna let him get away-"

"No, of course not." Zacky sighed looking at Johnny. "That's the thing. Look guys, I know you're mad at him, but it involves me and him. I gotta take care of this on my own."

"Can't we just kick his ass for a little?" Jimmy questioned. Zacky chuckled. "We can't let him go like that. He hurt you Zacky, let alone embarrassed you in front of Mr. Bag of Dicks. Brian himself is a bag of dicks."

Zacky shook his head. As if he didn't know damn well they would try to get their hands on Brian for this, but it was his problem and he would resolve it by himself. But it wouldn't hurt to get some payback. He smiled toward them, and sighed, nodding.

"So we have your permission to do some ass kicking?" Matt asked. Zacky laughed and nodded.

"Just please leave him in one piece." Zack looked at his best friends. His sad frown turn into a smirk. "Trust me what I'm going to do to him is going to break him apart."

I had another story, The Contract that I had planned on starting along with the ones mentioned above, but due to recent changes with my plot on that story, I won't be starting it. Not yet.
