Bones

Eleven

Nick and Jamie aren’t brothers, not really. Jamie’s mommy married Nick’s daddy and they lived happily ever after while their respective ex-counterparts became cynical and bitter and continues to sulk through the rest of their lives.

This makes the sometimes-bad-touch-but-actually-good-touching okay. ‘Cause you’re only really brothers if you’ve fed from the same breast, right? The same blood runs through your veins; but no, blood oaths don’t count. You cut yourself open to show your loyalty, not that you’re family. It’s just a piece of paper, this is what Jamie tells himself. Paper.

But Someone’s not telling them something, and they should be. God damn, they really should.
