Bones

Three

When Jamie dreams, he is alone. Not that he minds, no; solitude is independence, is it not? But these dreams aren’t so different from his reality. (And this, of course, relates in no way to his growing inability to differentiate between the two.) He is alone, but never lonely. Loneliness is sheer terror, as esprit de corps is simply an illusion.

When Jamie dreams, he is invisible. His greatest wish, granted only in sleep. Where’s this magic in real life?

He wants to know. He wants to find it. He wants this folly explained.

Jamie’s never alone, not anymore. Nick is at his side, watching like a hawk. My brother’s keeper is my keeper as I are his and he is.. And the circle continues.

Just like the cycle. (Of life or something else, Jamie does not know..)
