Blue Eyes Vs. Purple

In chapter 4 in The Freaky Sophomore is when you meet Ken.

A week later we were all unpacked.
I with in my room with Alyssa, Ken’s daughter.
She had purple eyes as well.
That day when Ken came over I meet her and we connected.
Mostly because we have purple eyes.
Alyssa and I were the same age, she was going to show me around when school starts in two weeks.
“So, do you want to go get some ice cream?” she asked.
“Why would I turn that down?” I said rolling off my bed.
She laughed as we walked down stairs.
“Alyssa and I are getting ice-cream,” I said to Tyler.
“Don’t come back pregnant,” he said.
I rolled my eyes and left the house with Alyssa close behind.
“You’re brother is so hot!”
“Gross,” I said making a face.
“Sorry, but it’s the truth,”.
I rolled my eyes and we walked to the ice cream place. It was about four blocks away.
As soon as we walked in our ears filled with chatter.
I’ve been here only once yet people still stare at me.
I was new around here.
“Hey Vick,” I said.
He grinned at me. “Hey Lilly,”.
Alyssa cleared her throat.
“And Alyssa,” Vick added in a dull tone. “What can I do for you two ladies?”
“One vanilla ice cream cone,” I said.
“And one singe Sunday,” Alyssa added.
“Coming up,” he said winking at me.
As Vick walked away Alyssa turned to me. “He is so into you,” she said.
“I know…”
“Well?”
“What?”
“Do you like him? You guys would be so cute,”.
“I don’t know…he’s cute and all,”.
“Go for it,”
“Okay,” Vick said. “One cone for the beautiful lady and one Sunday for the best friend,”
“Thanks,”
“It’s on the house,”
We smiled. “Thanks,” we said as we walked to our table.
“Remind me to order ice cream with you more often,”
I laughed and bumped into a wall.
I stumbled back looked up.
I was face to face with the most beautiful face I have ever seen.
His blue eyes stared into my purple eyes.
“Watch it next time,” he said with a slight accent.
“Sorry,” I stuttered.
He smirked at me and gave me a quick once over. “See you around,” he said pushing passed me.
I stammered a goodbye and watched him walk away.
“That was Romeo Evans,” Alyssa said to me. “The hottest guy in school,”.
“I can see why,”.
“He’s a bit of bad news,” she added.
“Doesn’t surprise me,” I said as before finding a sit.
