Good Evening
Chapter Two: Good Evening
Ryan stood up listening closely scenting the air for an
intruder but turned up empty.
Their was no one within a mile radius. "What the hell?"
Charlotte stirred, her ruby colored eyes blinking sleepily
open.
"Morning," she smiled sitting up and yawning so her slim
fangs showed.
"Evening,"
Ryan grinned.
Her heart stuttered awake as well slow, steady and loud
drowning out the other.
She wore an over sized tee shirt, but leaned in such a way that it
showed her subtle curves and the slim plane of her stomach.
She saw the look on his face, "What's the matter?"
Ryan swept the area one more time but still couldn't find the
source.
"Nothing I just thought I heard some thing."
"Oh," she grinned sitting on the edge of their bed, "come back
to bed then I'm getting cold."
Ryan smiled at the joke, as a vampire she was already cold.
At least seventy degrees cold than his own skin.
He thought he was to awake to fall back asleep but laid
down again. She curled up next to him her cool head leaning
against his stomach.
Charlotte sighed happily, her eyes floating closed and her
heart stopping.
Ryan heard it again something was around something he
couldn't see, smell, or even feel with his mind.
But the sound was surprisingly soothing and soon he was asleep
as well.
