Ashley
~ Michelle POV~
Max and I were walking out of the movie theater.We just finished watch a romantic comedy.
“So…did you enjoy the movie?” he asked me slipping his hand under mine twining our fingers. I slight blush across me cheeks I answered
“Yes, did you”
“Um…yeah” he said slowly
“Did you really?”
“Yeah it was ok” he said then he flashed cheesy smile
I just shook my head in the other direction
“Robert's having a party tomorrow and our band is playing are you coming?”
“Oh yes, Robert texted me today telling me”
It was only around 9 and I told my mother I'd be home around 11, so Max and I decided to hang out with some friends over at Ronnie's house.
When we did get there were already several people there. Some faces I recognized from school others I weren't so familiar with.
“Hey! Come on in” Ronnie greeted warmly guy bro-hugging max and giving me a gentle squeeze. Max glared at him
“Nice hair cut by the way” he said tousling some of my hair I giggled. Max moved his hand. Everyone was hanging out in the living room playing something in on Wii. Soda cans littered the floor as well as an empty pizza box and a half-eaten on the coffee table.
“Hey, everyone I wanna introduce someone!” Ronnie really loud getting everyone attention
“What is it now Ronald?” a boy said leaning against a wall looking the youngest but strikingly just like Ronnie.
“You shut up ok!” he replied intently then continuing in a much more calmer voice
“This is my annoying little brother Joseph” he pointed to boy that he just spoke too
Then going around the room pointing at each of them
“This is Carson he's plays keyboards for our band, Omar he's the guitar player , and so is Bryan aka Monte money, I'm assuming you already know Max plays bass, I of course sing and that over there is Ashley” I waved shyly at everyone after Ronnie was finished
“Hi” I greeted everyone in a small voice
“Awesome! I need another girl to chill with instead of all these dudes” Ashley acknowledged me putting down her console making her way over to me
“Join me outside a bit for a smoke” she said taking me by the wrist and dragging me
“Um… b-but I don't…” I stammered then I looked at Max
“Go ahead” he encouraged me give a friendly shove
Ashley sat down at the porch table taking out a pack of New Ports and a lighter
“Sit down” she pointing to the other chair. I sat down. She handed me a cigarette
“Um, I don't…smoke” I confessed laughing a little nervously
She raised an eyebrow and sliding the cancer stick back in the box.
“So you and Max, eh” she mumbled lighting the cigarette
I just smiled a little.
After the first huff Ashley seemed to release tension as relaxed back in to her seat
She ran her fingers through her curly red hair puffing away. After a few minutes of silence she finally broke it. Which was reliving
“You're so quite you can talk to me you know I don't bite… that much”
“Ok” I laughed
“So, were are you from I don't think I seen you before at Del sol when I went there”
“I go there now, but I just moved from Florida”
“Florida huh, why the move”
“I'm not sure. My parents just wanted to move, I guess”
“You must hate it here and miss your friends”
“I actually like it better here” I confessed
Ashley raised an eyebrow again
“I was home schooled back home I didn't have any friends”
Ashley squished her cigarette bud in the ash try in the middle of the table and took out another cigarette out her pack and lit it
“How old are Michelle?” she asked blowing a smoke ring. It quickly faded away
“How old are you?” I decided to ask her before telling her my age
“21, yeah I'm the 2nd oldest out this bunch”
“I suppose Joseph is the youngest, huh”
“Joey? Haha, he's 15 he just like to hang out with us when I'm around most of the time Ronnie doesn't let him but this time thieir dad made him”
“How old is Max?”
“18, and to cut to the chase so you can stop dodging my question Bryan is 17 Robert is 16 Carson is 20 so is Omar. Ronnie is the oldest by a few months from me but he's 21"
