Darkness has descended upon the land in the form of an old and impregnable race - the Vacans. Cities have fallen, armies defeated, by these wraith-like creatures who wish to claim the land back after their millenia-old rest.
Five unlikely individuals are thrown together in hopes of proving themselves to seek out an ancient relic known as the animus, or the 'soul of the people.' It may be the land's last best hope for salvation.
