The "Other Girl"
I walk into school, nervous.
Almost everyone acts as if
They’d never seen me before,
Which is normal.
However, the play kids
And the “techies”
Give me looks when I walk by them.
A boy I know named Kaleb,
Whose in the “play kids” crew,
Grabs my arm, pulls me aside, and whispers to me,
“Back off Nathan. Caitlin’s majorly pissed.”
Great.
Is this going to turn into
A game of alliances, where
A friend turns against another
Because they just so happen
To like Caitlin more
Even though we’ve been friends longer?
If it is,
I’m going to lose.
