The "Other Girl"

As the homecoming dance gets closer and closer

And the play gets better and better,
Caitlin’s harassing gets worse and worse.
She’s moved up from calling me Ernestina
To just flat out calling me a whore,
And turning almost everyone,
Except Hayley and Aubrey,
Against me.

I can’t walk down the halls
Without people giving me glares,
Or calling me names,
Or telling me to “get my own boyfriend.”

I try to not let it hurt me,
But sometimes, I can’t help
But go home and cry.
It really worries Dad.
