I awoke to a knock on my window.
I turned to find Declan sitting there.
I cracked the window enough for him to come inside
“I couldn’t go without actually saying bye” He whispered
“I’m glad you did” I hugged him, Our bodies curved to each other like a perfect fit and it began making me wonder if It was meant to be. “Sit down”
He placed himself on the end of my bed and I sat beside him.
“Listen Declan, Maybe I can’t marry you, maybe I can’t ride off into the moonlight with the guy that I’ve been deeply in love with for the past 3 years. The truth is I want to, I really want to, but you and I both know that can’t happen. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t just wait until you come home. I’ll be willing to do whatever it takes and whatever I need to do for us to be together. I love you more than I can describe. I know you might not think I-“
He grabbed my face and lured it into his. touching our lips for one last time.
“I love you Zeida, with every breath I take I will remember you. you’re my everything. I really want you to know that”
“I do know that and I always will okay?”
“Okay” he said intertwining my fingers with his.
“You should go now” I said turning towards him. “Meet your destiny” I said laughing.
A smile made its way across his face.
“Bye” he said
“Bye” I cooed as he walked outside.
