I am the Fallen

I gave Kaine a hug and I felt him stiffen.

"I can see your wings." He whispered in my ear. But it's not possible! Just to cover up his sudden tension I pulled away and pecked him. Then smiled at his mother.

"Is there a stain on my back?" I asked her. "Sorry, I just remembered last time I wore this shirt I somehow managed to get pizza on the back of it."

I saw Kaine's eyes widen in the 'what the hell are you doing' fasion. I turned around anyway to have her look.

"No, Hun, there's nothing there." She answered. Just as I thought... They were hidden but for some reason Kaine could see them. To prove that he saw thim he touched one. I twitched as if he hit my 'retard button' as I had heard someone call it.

"Well I put your clothes next to the door." Kaine's mom told us. "I hope you have a good time on your date, and Shade, next time, please don't answer the door with only a towel. I saw a little more than I wanted."

"Will do ma'am." I smiled at her.

"Oh and I expect to get the recipe for those delectable finger sandwiches." She smiled at me.

"Of course." We had walked her to the door.

"Bye," She gave each of us a hug. "Have fun on your date!"

"We will." I told her.

"Bye mom." He said. She waved quick and shut the door behind them. As soon as the door was shut he turned to me.

"You cheated didn't you?" He said, I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I was so confused is wasn't even funny.

"My mom's phone caught a high pitch sound and it only stopped when you made a sound I could hear." He glared at me.

"Yes," I sighed. "I did, I hear better than you and I forgot. So I was making noises out of your hearing range the whole time." I blushed a little.

"Why wouldn't you tell me?" He looked hurt.

"I thought you could hear me!" I exclaimed.

"But I couldn't!"

"It as a misunderstanding. Can we please get over it? I hate fighting with you."I looked at him with pleading eyes.

"You have to promise not to do it again." He gave me puppy dog eyes.

"There's going to be an again." I groaned.

"Of course." He stated in a 'duh' tone. I groaned again. I then locked the door and started to strip.

"What are you doing!?" He almost screamed at me.

"It's my house I don't need to wear clothes in it!" I exclaimed now completely nude.

"Do I have to wear clothes in it?" He asked, he sounded hesitant.

"You don't have to." I said as I walked to the couch. I knew he was looking at me so I shook my hips a little two much. I heard him giggle. I turned on some random channel. Then out of no where Kaine landed on top of me.

"Did you jump over the couch?" I asked surprise.

"Yep." He popped the p.

"So I have a serious question for my oh so nude friend." I looked him in the eyes.

"What is the question I will be getting from my equally as nude friend?" He looked at me.

"Could you really see my wings earlier today?"

"Yes, nude buddy I could." He smiled at me. "I can see them right now too."

"Oh yeah? Prove it." I dared him. He reached out and grabbed my wing, forcing it to extend.

"H-how?" I asked wide eyed. Suddenly I hopped up, taking Kaine with me.

"We have about 10 hours until our date, which is enough time to to go before the council and ask them what is going on.



"Alright," I said after we were fully dressed and standing on my back porch. "You need to hold on to me like you've never held on to anything in your life."

"Okay..." he said nervously. I felt him begin to death grip my arms. I curled them around him. So that I even if he couldn't hold on I could.

"Ready?" I asked him, he nodded. I beat my wings three times to get into the air and then took off just faster than the speed of sound.

In about five minutes we reached the council. I was greeted by my father.

"Ah, son I see you have returned." He looked more closely. "With a human?!"
