A Whole Lot of Jackass

Chapter Fourty Six

April 2003

One year. One fucking year. That's how long it had been since I met Colin. I couldn't believe it and for multiple reasons. For one, it had passed so quickly. It feels just like yesterday that I was filming the first season of Jackass never mind going to the MTV Movie Awards and meeting one of the hottest Hollywood actors ever.

I had awoken this morning to a note on the bed beside me, instead of Colin's sleeping form, which stated for me to be ready for 6pm tonight. The note was signed by Colin at the bottom with two kisses which had made me smile at how thoughtful he was. Although, I couldn't help but wonder where the hell he had gone. He hadn't said anything about going away, the only thing he had said that may relate to this is that he had something planned for our Anniversary, so I guess the only thing I could do was wait.

Right now however, I had just stummbled out of the steaming shower and into our closet where all of my dresses hung, unlike my casual clothes and shoes which were now stored neatly in the 'guest room' aka Lowri's closet. I looked over the rack of about forty dresses and sighed, the horrible thing was thet I had, had a clear out and threw out most of my dresses and I still had to many! I grabbed a black, short dress off the hanger and held it up against me, it looked good. It was sort of baggy but went in at the waist, creating some shape. There was large, gold sequins around the curved neck line which gave the dress some decoration, I layed it on the bed and closed the door to the colet before walking through to my closet. I stared at all my shoes which were neatly stacked up alon the wall. I had, had a lot of time to spare over the past few weeks so I had got my camera and taken pictures of all the shoes and stuck the correct picture on the box, like I had alwasy wanted. I looked through the pictures until I found a black pair of high heels with gold detailing, meaning they matched my dress perfectly. I walked back through to the main bedroom, shut the door behind me and turned the radio on so I could dance around while getting ready.

A couple of hours later, I had surprised myself by being ready early, I was sat on the couch with my purse on my knee as my feet tapped nervously on the ground. By the way I was acting you'd think it was my first date with Colin but it wasn't my fault I didn't hav a clue what to expect. Plus the fact it was our first Anniversary and my first Anniversary for about six years got me a bit excited, I could almost feel the butterflies in my stomache.

Finally, there was a knock at the front door and in a matter of seconds I was at the door, pulling it open.
"Hey gorgeous." Colin smiled while leaning on the door frame, something he had done many times over the past year.
"You know when it's your own house, you don't have to knock." I smirked.
"Yeah but it's more romantic if I do." Colin stepped forward and placed the palm of his hand on the back of my kneck, pulling me into a deep and beautiful kiss. We pulled away after a few moments and stepped back, my face blushing. I stepped out after taking his hand and locked up the house before walking out to his car which was still running on the driveway.

*After The Restaurant*

During the meal I couldn't help but notice how figity Colin was. It seemed like he couldn't keep his hands from playing with his earings or rubbing his chin, or even the way he rubbed my leg seemed more tense than usual. We had finished dessert and Colin payed the bill then we left for the car so we could come back home, but as we sat in the car I noticed we missed the turning that led to our block.

"Colin where are we going?" I asked as my face scrunched up in confusion.
"Just some place different, so we can talk." He answered simply. I waited to arrive at any destination for ten minutes until the car finally stopped at the side of a pitch black road. I listerned to the driver door slam shut as I still looked out the window, jumping slightly when it was pulled open by Colin.
"Wher are we?" I said, my head jumping around looking for clues. Colin shut the car door behind me before answering.
"You talk to much." He chuckled. "Come one." Colin grabbed my hand and led me down the side path for a while until we reached some steps, it was then that I realised the sound of water rushing in my ears. We were at the beach. A grin spread across my face And I lloked at Colin who laughed at my face then stepped ahead of my to help me down the steps. Once at the bottom, just before the sand, we both took our shoes off and Colin rolled his pants up so we could walk down the sand. I stepped down and wiggled my toes in the wet sand as Colin took my hand in his again, pulling me by his side to walk with him.

We talked for a while, mostly about the past year, until Colin came to a stop beside me and reached for my other hand so I was facing him.
"Lowri I want to tell...well ask you something. I've wanted to ask you for weeks now but I wanted to wait until it was perfect." He near whispered.
"What is it?" I smiled, trying to calm his obvious nerves.
"I love you, so much and I want to be with you...Lowri...Will you marry me?" My mouth dropped open in shock and I felt small tears gather at the corners of my eyes.
"Really?" I choked and my face lighterned up when he nodded slowly. "Then yeah. Oh my God Yes!" I jumped up and wrapped my legs around Colin's waist, kissing him passionatly. "I love you." I whispered to him after I pulled away and held his face between my hands.
"I love you too."
