The Sun Shines the Darkest Shade of Black

Stares. Whispers. Fear.

Melynna Douglas disappeared on December 14th.
I am her best friend, Gigi.
It's April now.
It's been 5 months, since I've seen Melynna.
The police never found anything.
Not a single clue.
Not a single shred of dna.
They have absolutely no idea what happened to Melynna.
but, I do.

Melynna snuck out like she always did, she walked in to the woods alone, she waited in the dark, and she was never seen again.
Somebody out there.
Somebody knows exactly what happened to her.
Because someone did it.
Someone happened to be outside, and they saw Melynna.
They know where she is.

Melynna couldn't have just disappeared.
Girls like Melynna just dont vanish with out a trace.
Out entire town is captivated in her mystery.
People think that Lex is the one who is behind her going missing,
but Lex loved her.
He wouldnt have done that.

After Melynna disappeared, I missed a few weeks of school.
I wasn't mentally stable enough to handle school.
I finally went back and when I did, people stared at me
Like, her best friend is gone.
Something terrible must have happened.
A few brave friends, came up to hug me.
but, most just stared.
Deep in thought, I could hear their whispers as I opened my locker.
Their eyes burning a hole in my back.
I am the outcast.
Amber, came up to me at lunch.
"Hey, Gigi (: "She smiled.
"Oh, hey Amber" I was glad to see a friendly face not afraid to talk to me.
"I havent talked to you in so long haha, I still have that voicemail you guys left me.." Her voice trails off as she remembers that Melynna and I left her that voicemail.
"Yea.." I say. I honestly have no idea what to say.
'Im sorr-"she starts to say
"It's fine. I hafta go" I cut her off
I get up and go to bathroom.
I start crying in the stall.
This will be harder than I thought.

Stares. Whispers. Fear.
They think they know pain, well they dont.
