"Mum, can I watch some T.V tonight?" Ashna asked hopefully, playing with the hem of her dress.
"No, you can do your homework and do some reading." Patricia-Jane wiped the counter for the third time today.
"Well my friend from school told me about it, she said it was good."lie. she overheard the perfect girls talking about it. And I already finished my homework." lie, her homework is untouched.
"Really? Well maybe when you're older." Patricia-Jane gave an exasperated sigh. "And anyways, you have to memorize your section of Corinthians for church on Sunday." Patricia put a loving hand on Ashna's shoulder and comb's her hair out of her face.
"What happened to your chin?" Patricia-Jane asked worriedly.
"I just slipped on the steps." lie. The blonde with the bouncy curls made Ashna trip over her own stick legs.
