Haunted
Chapter One
Shaky breaths penetrated the silence of the night as Raelin Byrne shot up from her bed. Her eyes were constantly scanning the room as she tried to calm herself down.
"Please...leave me alone..." she whispered, gripping her blankets. Bright orbs slowly started to appear around her room, coming closer, and closer towards her bed. "No..." Raelin shut her eyes, backing up her body up against the headboard of her bed.
"You can't escape..." a cold, dark whisper of the voice told her. Tears started to cascade down Raelin's face as she clasped her hands around her ears. "It's all your fault..."
