You've Been Thunderstruck

Pat apparently told John that Tim wanted to see me and I needed to meet more people. Why, I didn't know. I had been in Arizona for about four hours. I was in John's car with him being extremely silent. I hated silence. It erked me thinking I had caused the silence.
 
"I don't do silence, John." I said breaking the silence.
 
"You can if you don't speak." He said.
 
"You know, I could be nice to you. We could've been good together. We could've been friends but you chose to be enemies, remember that. Not my choice here, John." I said.
 
"That's not why we're silent." He said.
 
"Fine. But, I don't do silence. Music is much better." I said.
 
"How did you make my mom like you?" He asked.
 
"I didn't. I don't know. Maybe I'm just likable." I said.
 
"She does these tests on everyone new she meets and she liked you the moment she saw you. I don't get it." He said.
 
"I'll try to get her to not like me, then." I said rolling my eyes.
 
"You're so annoying." He said.
 
"You're a jackass and not in a good way." I said.
 
"You'd be a jackass too if Pat pawned me off on you." He said.
 
"And you have a few lacking brain cells because he did pawn me off on you, seeing as I'm here." I said.
 
"I don't like you." He said.
 
"I won't be loosing much sleep over that." I said.
 
He rolled his eyes as we pulled up to a house. It looked identical to all the ones on the street. John and I got out of his car and walked up the driveway and the garage was open with Pat, Garrett and more guys and one girl sitting on couches everywhere .
 
"Thunder!" Pat screamed jumping up and hugging me. I laughed and we let go.
 
"Pat! I saw you a few hours ago! What's up?" I asked.
 
"Nothing. Did John rape you?" He asked. I laughed.
 
"Yes, he did." I said.
 
"She wishes." John said sitting down on a couch.
 
"Every time I see you will I be asked if I've been raped?" I asked Pat.
 
"Yes." He said.
 
"Okay, then." I said.
 
"Well, Thunderstruck, you know Garrett. There's Kennedy, Halvo, Max, Jared and Riley." He said.
 
"Hello people." I said.
 
"Hello." They all said in unison.
 
"She's pretty." One with dark hair told Pat. I think it was Halvo.
 
"Touch her and I'll kill you." Pat said.
 
"I was just stating a fact." The dark haired dude said.
 
"I'm Riley." The chick said.
 
"Thunderstruck." I said.
 
"Interesting name." She said.
 
"It's colorful." I said.
 
"Tell them your little brother's name." Pat told me.
 
"Caine? Uhh, his name's Caine." I said.
 
"What's it stand for, Thunder?" Pat asked rolling his eyes.
 
"Don't roll your eyes at me, you little dwarf. And he's named after cocaine." I said. Everyone smiled.
 
"I like her, Pat." Riley said.
 
"I'm not a dwarf." Pat told me.
 
"Yeah, well don't roll your eyes at a person who's five ten." I said.
 
"Giant." He said.
 
"Hobbit." I said.
 
"Hulk." He said.
 
"Umpa Loompa." I said.
 
"Stop." Garrett said.
 
"Boy, I know you got the memo about living with no dick." I said. He smiled and nodded.
 
"Wait, what happened?" Riley asked.
 
"Little gnome." I told Pat. He laughed. He sat down and I sat down next to him.
 
"She's cute." Riley told Pat.
 
"What do I say to that? Thanks?" Pat asked.
 
"She got my mom to like her." John said.
 
"Really!?" Everyone asked in unison.
 
"Yeah, and apparently Thunderstruck's making dinner tomorrow because she won a bet and Shane likes her." He said.
 
"Two different things, John." I said. He rolled his eyes.
 
"You got Jenny to like you?" One guy with brownish hair asked. I think he was Kennedy.
 
"I didn't like drug her. She just liked me." I said.
 
"She does drugs." Pat said.
 
"Yeah, Pat. Let's advertise that." I said.
 
"Tim said you were a goody two shoes." Jared said.
 
"Hell no." I said.
