Chapter 12:Raven

I looked around the small room, wondering what was going to happen. We were two fugitives on the run with no where to go... no one to help us. I bit my lip, watching Elda struggle with her inner demons. Suddenly, fear gripped my insides. Darkness started to creep up, wrapping it's long thick fingers around my neck. A cold chill raced up my spine, the world started to tilt again.

"Not again..." I muttered, my knees getting weak.

This only happened when a spirit was talking to me. Well, only a powerful one at least. This was the wrong time, however, to slip into an unconscious state. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get to choose when I passed out or not. That's how my life went.

Poor Elda, I thought, she'll have to face things on her own. Then I passed out.
