I Never Thought I'd Fall for You

03- Mind a Favor

~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter Three
~~~~~~~~~~~

I had gotten up and put my plate in the sink and walked out of the kitchen. I walked up the steps and down the hall, until I reached the end and opened the door to the left. I stood in the cappuccino and cherries jubilee red room and headed to the mirrored closet to grab clean sheets.

The pillows were already clean and so was the white comforter. We always washed and changed them after someone had spent the night. We didn’t do the sheets though, I don’t know why though.

“Do you need any help?” I heard Logan ask.

I jumped and turned around.

“Sorry. Didn’t mean to scare you.” He apologized, but hid a smile.

“Oh no problem,” I said, “And no I don’t think so. I think I can handle changing the sheets, but thanks.” I told him and took off the comforter and the pillows, placing them on the chair.

I then placed the sheets on the bed for a second and before I could stop him, Logan had already grabbed one and was unfolding it.

“Here, you take this one end and I’ll take this end and it’ll be faster.” He said and gave me the one end and walked towards the headboard. I didn’t argue and soon the bed was made with the comforter and the pillows back on.

“Is Jared going to let you borrow some of his clothes?”I asked.

“Oh, yea he went to get me some.” He said.

“Sounds good. Well hey, I won’t bother you anymore and besides I still have a ton of homework left that I want to finish.” I told him and walked out the room and opened the door to my room, which was the door at the end of the hall.

“Ally!” I heard Logan say very quickly.

“Hm?” I asked him, turning around.

“Thanks.”

“No problem buddy, anytime.” I told him and went up my stairs, leaving my door open, just in case my parents needed me or my brother, even Logan for that case. I didn’t think he would ask me for help, but apparently I was wrong.

“Ally?” I heard someone call softly from my staircase.

I groaned and turned on my side in bed, looking at the clock. It was one in the morning. Thinking it was my brother, I got out, wearing only a large white t-shirt and walked towards the steps.

“Yes?” I asked in response.

“Would you mind doing me a favor?” he asked.

“What do you want me to do Jared?” I asked and then turned the light on. Which I soon regretted, it was blinding and hurt my eyes. But when my eyes adjusted to the bright light I realized it wasn’t Jared, but Logan. No wonder why his voice sounded so different, “Oh. Logan.”

“Sorry about that.” Logan said and was blushing.

“Oh no it’s fine. What can I help you with?”I asked him. We stood there for a second. Logan looked like he was debating whether or not he should ask me.

“Oh, uhm, you can come up and sit instead of standing on the steps.” I told him, gesturing to him that it was alright to come up.

He slowly walked up the steps and followed me to my bed. I sat down and crossed my legs. He stood for a second before he finally sat down and looked at me.

“Uh, sorry for waking you up at this hour.” Logan apologized.

“It’s fine. I wasn’t sleeping that great anyways.” I told him truthfully.

“Well,” he sighed, “There’s this girl-”

“Uh-oh.” I interrupted him.

“She’s an ex of mine-”

“Double uh-oh,” I said again, “I’m sorry. I won’t do that again. Please continue.” I told him, after he gave me a frustrated look.

“Well anyways I was wondering if you would, uhm, if you would,” he paused for a second but I remained quiet, patiently waiting, “You know just kinda pretend to be this girl I’m seeing.”

“Oh.” Was all I could say. I wasn’t expecting him to ask me that.

“I mean- I understand that it’s a little awkward seeing as we just met, but it would really help me out and I would really appreciate it.” He told me, trying to convince me.

I looked into his eyes and hesitated, “Fine. I guess so- why not. How bad could it be?”

His phone started to ring immediately after I agreed to his crazy idea. He looked down at the caller I.D. and then back up at me and nodded his head. “It’s her.” He told me and I watched as he put it on speaker.

“Logan! Why haven’t you called me back?” a girl’s whiny voice asked on the other end of the line. I had to stop myself from wincing at the sound.

“Helen, how many times do I have to tell you that we’re over.” Logan said and then he glanced up at me, putting a finger to his lip to tell me to remain silent until he signaled otherwise.

“Logan, how can you keep saying that though?” Helen, with the whiny voice, asked, “It isn’t as if you’re seeing some other girl who’s better than me. Because let’s face it- we all know I’m better than any other girl.”

I couldn’t help but snort and that got me a warning glare from Logan, at which I just shrugged at him, but Helen had a problem hearing someone else.

“Is there somebody with you! Logan Lerman- who is with you?” she shrieked. This time I wasn’t able to hide my wince when I heard her voice. Why this boy had ever dated this girl was beyond me.

“My girlfriend, Ally.” Logan said and it was weird hearing a boy I just met call me his girlfriend, especially when I knew this guy was famous.

“What do you mean your girlfriend? I’m your girlfriend, remember?” Helen shrieked again.

I wanted to say something, but Logan was able to say something before me, “Helen, I broke up with you two weeks ago. We aren’t a thing anymore- I’m with Ally and I really like her.”

“Fine Logan. But you’ll regret this.” Helen said and hung up.

When Logan’s phone was back in his pocket and the silence had gotten to me I finally spoke, “Guess you didn’t really need me after all.”

“Guess not. But, it’ll be nice if she asks to meet you or talk to you or something.”

“Meet me? Woah, woah, woah. That is not going to happen. I don’t wanna meet her. Excuse my French, but she seems like a complete and total bitch.” I told him, throwing my hands up in an almost ‘I surrender’ position.

“Well maybe we can end this before it gets to serious.” Logan told me.

With that comment I couldn’t help but laugh, “Yes, we’ll be sure to do that.”

“But seriously, for the meantime could you just go along with it? Because I know that isn’t going to be the last call I get from her. And I’d rather not have to explain myself.”

“One day you’ll have to do it Logan. Now, your new, fake girlfriend is going to try and get some sleep.” I paused, “Or not. I think I’m going to work on some school stuff.”

“Seriously? Who does homework during the summer?” Logan asked me.

“I do. Especially since this year I can’t slack off.”

“Look, how about this, seeing as we both aren’t going back to sleep, let’s watch a movie.” Logan suggested.

I looked at him for a moment before I gave in and agreed, “What movie do you want to watch?” I asked, as I pointed to a stack of DVDs on the floor.

I saw him go for Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightening Thief, but I saw him quickly reach for the movie right under it, The Exorcist. I gave him a look, when he handed it to me, but he still pushed it towards me.

I quickly put it in my computer and Logan and I sat up on my bed, leaning against the wall as we watched the horror film that I had seen only twice and it still managed to make me freak out the slightest, but I wasn’t scared. It was just a movie, even if it was based on a true story.

Alright! So I finally got around to writing the third chapter. It would be lovely if I could get some comments just so I know how you guys like it and if I should change anything- especially if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes.
