Hear Me

Stephen sits down on my couch.

I never said he could sit.

He asks me what's my problem with Freddie.

Freddie's a creep.

I ask him why Freddie's his best friend.

He shouldn't be.

He says it's because he was there when I ditched him.

Oh, really.

I tell him I didn't ditch him.

He bailed on me first.

He sits forward and then seriously asks me what happened to us.

Stephen, you simply messed up.

I look at him and then calmly say to ask Freddie.

He'll lie and say I'm just a dumb whore, but oh well.

I leave the room and go to my own at the other end of the house.
