When One Thing Goes Wrong, a Good Thing Always Follows

(Milan's POV)

"I wanna break up." I said dully as I turned to Brittany after Jenny stormed out.

"What why?" she asked, totally confused. I looked at her for a second before thinking, "What did I ever see in her?"

"Because, I am in love with that girl who just ran out. She's sweet and kind, and gentle, and down to earth, and she could care less about the money I make, unlike you, who cares oh so much about my money and would probably break up with me the second I stop making some."

"That's... so not true." she said sweetly as she came over and attempted to hug me. I shrugged her off and said,

"Liar. We're done. Now, if you'll excuse me, I am gonna go chase after the love of my life and pray that it's not too late for me to take a chance with her." And then I left my pathetic excuse as an EX-girlfriend.

"Gabi!!! I need you to tell me where Jenny is!!!" I shouted when I Gabi answered the .door instead of Jenny.

"I don't know Milan. You really hurt her. But, if ya must know, she is down in the music room. After she cried her heart out to me, she went down there saying that she needed to write this song that she just got an idea for." Gabi told me. I kissed her lightly on the cheek saying,

"Thanks Gabs, I owe ya. And then I ran to the music room after I was told the directions from Gabi.

When I reached the music room, I heard this very beautiful voice singing this song that once I started paying attention to the lyrics, I knew the singer was singing about me. And that it was Jenny. Her voice shocked me. I mean, I knew she was good, but I didn't know that she was this good. Once I got past the second wave of shock on how amazing her voice was, I started to fully digest the lyrics.

I walked into the room when she had finished and engulfed a now crying Jenny into my arms while saying,

"The reason that I didn't tell you about Brittany sooner was because I was trying to face the fact that I was falling more in love with you by the minute and falling out of love with Brittany more and more. I love you Jenny. And I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about Brittany sooner. But our relationship was in the rocks enough as it was and... I was also falling for you and it just didn't seem right. But, I broke up with her. So, I was wondering if you could maybe give me a second chance and have dinner with me?" She looked up at me with her eyes full of tears and said,

"Sorry Milan, but I can't. I'm sorry. But, now's just not the right time and I don't know if I can say I am feeling the same feelings that you are feeling. Goodbye." And then she left, what she kept saying replaying in my head, not knowing that she was lying about what she said.
