Waiting for a Breaking Heart

Lorraine Shana Burdett. That’s all you really need to know about me. My name. See, I’m not the easiest person to get along with. I know I’ve got my issues and I own up to them.

I’m a tough nut to crack. I build up my walls so that no one can get past a certain point. I’ve got a thing for playing games. Call it mean and manipulative, but it’s what I’m good at.

I don’t have the best grades in school. I’m not really sure of my future. I’m not really sure of anything. I’ve got my small group of friends. We drink and party.

Hey, I’m only seventeen. I’m not supposed to have it all figured out. Nor am I expected to be the most upstanding person ever either.

I guess you could say the only thing I’m really sure of is my best friend in the entire world; Jack Barakat. He’s always there for me. Unfortunately that means his other best friend Alex Gaskarth is also there. You could say we don’t always get along.
