Prologue

Mark wasn't trying to hurt Jenny. He just hated being alone. He never thought himself good for anything; behind those jokes was something different.

To an outsider he could be considered dependent and useless. He wasn't, he could just handle being alone. Jenny didn't want him, Danielle told him. Danielle was reliable and she wanted him.

I guess there's so many angles of this story that he has no idea about.
