Then how could I refuse?

Almost nervously Georgia entered the staff room, wondering if Brent was still in there relaxing before his shift. He wasn't, she sighed out of relief. Although Georgia was beyond ecstatic to see him again she couldn't help but feel week in the knees at the thought of his green eyes and killer smile. It felt strange to her to be feel so out of sort in a place that might as well be home to her. And it's all because of him, in every good way, the small voice inside her head quipped.

Beep, beep, beep!

The alarming noise of her ringtone brought Georgia out of her thoughts as she shuffled through her purse to find the source of the beeping.

"Jo!!" she heard her half sister squeal and soon as she picked up. "Guess what!"

"I uh--"

"Patrick asked me out!" Savannah cut her off before she could finish. "Patrick Kane!"

"Well, I would assume since the other Patrick is married," Georgia couldn't help but point out.

"He's hot to though," the blond laughed, "But anyways can you believe it! I mean it's not because he's famous or anything but he just seems so… so… adorably sweet."

"Yeah," Georgia frowned slightly, though she hadn't known Pat that long she had never thought of him using that choice of words.

"I'm so excited to go on double dates with you and Brent!" Savannah squealed again into the phone. "Gosh it'll jut be the best!"

"I'm really happy for you," Georgia replied sincerely. She knew her sister had never really had a serious boyfriend and she believed Patrick had the potential to treat her right like she deserved. "Look, I've gotta go but I'll call you again later, kay?"

Her sister hung up and she headed out to the help desk to start her shift at the public library.

Three hours later Georgia managed to make it to coffee with Brent without letting the butterflies in her stomach make her wobble until she fainted. They were sitting at a small caffe a few blocks from the library. Him adding lots of sugar to his coffee while she opted for hot coco with mini marshmallows.

"You know, I never took you for a hot chocolate kind of girl," Brent commented sitting back down and beginning to stir his five packets worth of sugar so it would dissolve quicker. "You just seem so professional and mature, like all the business people I see drinking their coffee on the way to work."

Georgia looked down and blushed.

"I mean, it's not a bad thing," Brent covered, realizing she might have taken what he said in a bad way. "I think it's a good thing to be professional," he said slowly. "You look cute when you blush."

Georgia's eyes widened when he said that and her cheeks turned an even deeper shade of scarlet.

"Thanks," Georgia smiled. "And I don't mind being thought of as professional. It's better than being thought of as old, which is what most people working as librarians are thought of as."

They both laughed and Brent admitted he had thought that too, before he met her. Maybe it was all the caffeine and sugar that both of them had just absorbed or maybe the fact that they themselves were starting to believe the story that they were dating but the couple couldn't seem to stop talking that afternoon, everything between them seemed to click. It was only when the barista informed them that the shop was closing that the pair slowly made their way back to the library.

"Patrick Kane asked my sister out," Georgia told Brent on their walk back.

"Really?" Brent let out a low whistle. "That's quite gentlemanly of him, then again usually he doesn't meet girls who need to be asked, they just go with him."

"Tell me more about him," Georgia prompted.

"Well, I think he's a really good guy on the inside, you just have to be patient enough to wait for that part to come out," Brent smiled, signaling he wasn't going to say anything more about his teammate.

Sooner than either of them wanted they reached the library and Brent walked Georgia over to her car.

"Hey Jo?" he asked just before she closed the door. "You doing anything tomorrow evening?"

"No," she started to feel a smile coming to her lips.

"Do you want to go out to dinner with me?"

"Only if you'll come back to my house after and watch movies," she bit her lip.

"Well, I did promise that last time I drove you home," Brent smiled.

"Then how could I refuse."

So this is the end! I admit I'm in a little bit of a rush to finish this story before school starts. Sorry about that. But I never meant it to be more than a quick write when I first posted it.
Hope you enjoyed it!

Also I was thinking or doing a spin off more centered around Savannah and Patrick's new relationship (but with a little bit of Brent and Georgia). If anyone is interested comment on this story and tell me!!
Happy September almost!
