When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong.

"Juss give meh a blanket we can sleep on tha couch." I heard Matt whisper softly. I had fallen asleep on him and all though I was woke up by him talking I stayed firmly on his chest keeping my eyes closed.

"I can carry her up ta tha room." Lee said softly.

"No. It's fine. We sleep togetha anyways." Matt said as I felt a blanket drape over me.

"Yeh startin ta like her huh?" Lee asked quietly and at that I couldn't move even if I wanted to.

"I...I mean...I juss..." Matt fumbled.

"No worries, lad. Secret safe wif meh." He said and he seemed to have walked away because I could hear footsteps going up the stairs.

Matt sighed and he brushed my hair softly, "Maddie..." he whispered and I shifted lightly.

"Hey, sweetie. I need yeh ta get up juss for a moment."

"No." I mumbled pretending that I hadn't just heard anything. Although I didn't understand. I mean, was Lee just assuming or had Matty nodded or something I didn't see? It nerved me.

"Madelynn..." he whispered brushing my cheek lightly.

"Give me a minute."

He chuckled lightly, "take all yeh need."

I finally sat up rubbing my eyes and Matt gave me a grin,
"Hey sleepin beauty."

"Where am I going?"

"To that couch over there. It's where we're sleepin."

"But it's far away."

He chuckled, "yeh lazy." He scooped me up and carried me over to the couch.

"Love you." I said with a grin.

"Mhm yeah whateva." He said draping the blanket over us as he laid on his stomach and wrapped his arm around me.

"Goodnight, love." He whispered kissing my cheek and I closed my eyes as I cuddled in to him. I wasn't going to lie. Although, him liking me scared me because I still felt so attached to Dan, ever since we kissed I felt nervous around him and I don't know...it just got me thinking in a way I shouldn't. A way I didn't want to think about him in. I finally fell asleep comfortably wrapped in Matty's arms.

"Awe aren't they so bloody cuteeee." I heard and held my eyes closed hoping whoever would go away.

"Sod off." Matt mumbled holding me to him as if they were going to try and take me.

"Wakey, wakey Matty. It's mornin." Oliver's voice hit my ears.

"Leave us 'lone." He said pulling the cover over our heads and I chuckled softly as I pressed my face into his chest.

"But tha lights are back on." Oli said and I knew he had a cheesy grin on his face because he liked annoying us.

Matty said nothing in return and I closed my eyes once again as his fingers traced my lower back that was showing because my shirt had ridden up in my sleep.

"Alright Matty yeh leave us wif no choice." He spoke once more and Matty groaned, "I hate him." He mumbled to me and before I knew it someone was picking me up from the couch. I squealed and Matty grabbed my arm which made it worse because Jona had me by my waist and I was now being tugged between the two.

"Drop tha girl." Matty said and Oliver was laughing hysterically, "bloody bloke gets so defensive."

"Well let me rephrase that for him. Don't drop me. Place me down gently." I said both of their grasp on me firmly and I felt all the blood rushing to my head.

Jona chuckled and I started laughing as Lee poked my side,

"stop it! Matty." I whined and Matt sat up with a sigh. His hand still firmly on my forearm.

"Give her ta meh." He said grabbing my other arm.

"And if I don't?" Jona asked in his calm manner.

"I'll hurt yeh. Now give her back."

"Yeh make her sound like she's a dog." Oli said giggling like a girl.

I laughed, "yeah. Sort of are Matty..."

"Shut up or I'll let'em keep yeh."

I frowned, "well someone let me down I'm feeling light headed!"

"Well all I wanted was to him ta get up. Jona, yeh can give her back." Oli said with amusement and he placed me in Matty's lap. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I laid my head on his chest.

"Talk bout meh babyin' her." Oli said chuckling.

"Well leave her 'lone." He mumbled defensively.

"Wow. Yeh sad. Anyways, we're goin ta get somefin ta eat so get up." Oli said leaving us be as he walked away.

"Want ta go home or wif them?" he asked as I looked up at him and he ran his fingers through my hair gently.

"I'm starving."

He chuckled, "ok. Then we'll go."

I smiled at him and he gave me a weird look, "what?"

"Nothing."

"Yeh lyin."

I shrugged and kissed his cheek causing a pink tint to light his face.

"Yeh up ta somefin." He stated narrowing his eyes at me and I laughed, "am not."

"Yeh are. I know yeh."

"Can't I just be nice?"

"No."

I laughed, "that's mean."

He grinned and kissed my forehead, "come on. Get yeh shoes on."

I got up from his lap and placed my shoes and my coat on and ran my hand through my hair hoping I didn't look like complete shit.

"Ride wif meh." Jona said and I looked over at him.

"Why?"

"Cause."

"I swear whatever you are thinking, I didn't do..."

He smiled, "come on silly."

I groaned and followed Jona out, "oye, where yeh goin?" Matty asked.

"Jona's making me ride with him."

Matty gave Jona a strange look, "ok..."

I shrugged and got in the passenger seat of Jona's car. Once he got in and started the car I finally asked him, "what?"

"Madelynn, Matty likes yeh."

I started laughing, "um, yeah I know."

He shook his head, "No. I mean, he really likes yeh."

I frowned, "how would you know?" I asked. My heart feeling like it was going to burst from my chest.

"Cause I know him and I can tell."

"Oh so this is based on your assumptions?"

"Madelynn, he has classic Matt signs of when he likes someone."

"Oh whatever he's not acting any different."

"Really? Maybe yeh not payin attention."

I narrowed my eyes at him, "well tell me how he is then."

"Madelynn, he's so protective of yeh...and lass night when we were tellin him yeh could sleep wif Lee he almost had a heart attack and told Lee no that yeh sleep wif him every night anyways so the couch was fine." He said with a grin and I knew that part was true because I heard it myself.

"Well he probably didn't want me waking up next to Lee without my consent!"

"Bullocks!"

I sighed and bit my bottom lip, "Jona. He doesn't like me. He told me." I said softly not believing I was telling him this.

"What?" he asked looking at me quickly.

"Jona! Road!"

His eyes went back to the road but he spoke again, "Did yeh ask him?"

"Remember the whole me staying with you? Well he said it was because he thought he was starting to have feelings for me and blah blah. We kissed to prove a point and he said he didn't."

He looked at me suspiciously and I shrugged, "so no, he doesn't."

"But what bout yeh?"

"What do you mean?"

"Did yeh feel anyfing for him?"

"I love Dan." I said softly looking out the window.

"Not what I asked. If Dan wasn't in the picture...well, if yeh didn't love him, what then?"

"...I'd want to be with Matt." I said sighing as I touched my forehead to the window and closed my eyes.

"I know. I can tell."

"But I love Dan."

"But you don't want to be with Dan."

"So?"

"So? Why waste it on someone you'll never be with again? Matty's loveable. I mean, strange but loveable." He said and I chuckled.

"Yeh two just alike." he added.

"Jona. He doesn't like me." I said looking at him as we parked, "reallah? Yeh believe that? Cause I don't."

I shrugged before we got out of the car. I really didn't know what to take from all this. Did Matt like me? And most importantly did I like him? And if I did, wasn't it too soon?
