From L.A. lights to Arizona skies

"Hey deb are you awake?" I could hear John facing my back

I turned around so I can reply and found his face just a few inches away from mine.

"Yeah I am, who knew Jared can be as loud as a cow?" I asked him while alughing softly

"That cow happens to be my best friend! Anyways, what do you wanna do since we both can't sleep?" He asked me

"Wanna go down? I can make you some blueberry pancakes if you want" I smiled

"I love those! Come on lets go!" He said in a kiddy way and helped me get off the bed.

We went downstairs and went straight to the kitchen. I washed my hands, got the ingredients and started to cook.

"Wow that smells great, it better taste good" he demanded

"Well John, it will never taste good since I put poison in it" I told him

I was waiting for a reply but nothing. So I decided not to mind him and just keep on cooking. Then I felt someone grab my hips. It was John. He carried me like a baby in his arms and wouldn't let go. Wow this guy is so.. Lovable.

"Stop it John put me down" I laughed while he kept twirling me

"I won't put you down unless you tell me there's no poison in my pancakes" He replied

"I can't tell you that really" I teased him

"Oh really now?" He said

"Yes, really." I replied

That's when he tickled me and we both laughed so hard we fell on the floor. I was on top of him. Can we just stay like this forever? I decided to tickle him back and he kept laughing.

"It doesn't feel good does it?" I asked him

"This is the most fun I had" He said with a big grin

"I have a reputation for being awesome you know" I cockily replied to him

"Sure you do" He said

"I hate you" I said with a bitchy look that's when he kissed my cheek.

The kiss was different, I felt so happy. I know it's just a kiss on the cheek, big whoop, but I swear it felt really different. This dude is adorable even if he only kissed me on the cheek. Then he fixed my hair. Is he gonna kiss me?! Then someone cuts us off. Great.

"What's happening here dears?" My nana asked looking at our position. Me on top of john. Yikes.

We both got up and started to mumble.

"I-i was just uhmm cooking pancakes for John nana, do you want some?" I asked her in an awkward way

"Cooking? I thought you guys were having a wrestling match, and yes deborah I do want some of your pancakes" She said with a teasing smile

I went back to the pan and heard nana sit beside John at the table.

"You're falling in love with my granddaughter aren't you Johnny boy?" Nana asked John in a weird way. She's a pro when it comes to embarassing me. Kill me now.

"Maybe" John replied in a cocky way. Did I hear him right? Oh my gosh did I just blush? I may have feelings for John.

I put the pancakes in two separate plates and put ice cream on top and added a little choco syrup.

"Wow deb this tastes amazing!!" john said

"You could get married already sweetie" she said

John looked at me in a weird way and I just flicked him off. My nana says a way to a man's heart is through food. She says when a girl learns to cook she could get tied up already. Euw.

"It's only pancakes nana, and of course it tastes good John, I put poison in yours remember?" I replied and winked at him

"There's poison in this?" My nana asked giving me a worried look
John and I started at each other and laughed at our private joke.

"No nana only John's pancake has poison no worries" I said

"Alright then" giving me a relieved look, then starts off with "Can you to do me a favor?"

"Sure thing gramps" John said

"Are you sure you can handle it John?" I asked him playfully

"Is it alright if you two accompany me and your grandfather to the carnival tomorrow?" My nana asked

"Awww I miss going to the carnival!, I remember going there everytime I visit you guys here" I said

"Well then gramps I think we can surely do that tomorrow, unless Debbie here is busy" He said giving me a look

"Hey aren't you the one who has band practice?" I shot him a look

"I could skip for you" He said while fluttering his eyes like a kid. Both nana and I laughed.

We all went back upstairs to sleep. John slept beside me the whole night. I felt his hand wrap around my tummy pulling me into a hug.

"John what're you doing?" I said while giving off a laugh

"I'm cuddling with you, now shh I wanna save the moment" He said in a cute way

"Who said I wanted to cuddle with you?" I said and he let go of the hug

"John I was kidding, you're not mad are you?" I got worried. He didn't respond. Ugh.

"John?" Still no answer. I decided to just hug him until I get a response. It worked by the way.

"Deb what are you doing?" He copied what I said earlier

"Im cuddling with you" I copied him as well

"Who said I wanna cuddle with you?" Copying me again. So I let go of the hug and turned around facing my back to him. I felt him hug me again. Then he kissed my forehead and said goodnight. I had the goofiest smile ever. I slept with a smile on my face and John's arm wrapped around me.

What a way to end the night.
