He's My Protector.
Chapter 30
As Annette talked to her dad, I ran my fingers threw my hair.
I almost just kissed her.
So…so close.
Wait! What are you thinking! She’s still a minor.
You’re her bodyguard!
But those eyes….
Would she of kissed me?
She wasn’t pulling away. Maybe she was just testing me.
I followed her out the serene garden as we walked back to hotel. Right when she was about to open the door, I slipped in front of her, and looked down at her.
Before I could open my mouth to say what was on my mind, I got lost again.
“Yes?” She asked, by her eyes you could tell she felt awkward.
“Nothing…G’night Annette.” My accent shining, I slipped past her.
I went to my room just down the hall, leaving my phone with Annette, incase her dad calls.
I went in to bed, pulling the covers over me.
I didn’t bother changing out of my jeans and tee. It wasn’t going to make really any difference.
I was just slipping into a dream, when I heard the door creak open.
I thought it was just Sueng, until I saw the small figure.
“Um…Are you awake?” Annette’s small voice whispered.
“Mmm.” I said, pulling myself up into a sitting position.
“I am, now.” I groaned, yawning.
“Sorry…it’s just… Sueng and Mika kind of took the beds.”
“You mean…” I began, my face twisting into a unique manner.
“Ew no!” She laughed, quietly.
“It’s just….I don’t know. I don’t have a bed and ya.” She finished, as I glanced down to the only other bed.
The pull out couch.
Pulling myself out of bed, I motioned toward the large fluff. It probably smelt like me but ya…it’ll do.
“Wait…you want me to take your bed?” She asked, hesitantly.
“Go ahead.” I said, beginning to pull out the couch.
I crashed down on the springs as she laid lightly in my bed.
She froze for a second.
Probably because it smells and felt about as cozy as hugging me.
It was silent for a couple of minutes, but I couldn’t sleep.
It was hard.
My mind played through today’s events.
So much in so little time.
Out of no where, I heard a small whisper. “What happened today.” She whispered.
“I don’t even know.” I replied, in a breath.
It seemed as if she was waiting for me to continue, because she paused for a moment.
“You can forget about it if you want.” I said, but only silence responded.
