Lust for Darkness

Death

As we got back to Hogsmeade Harry told us about the Marauder’s Map. Ron wasn’t too happy hearing about where he got it from though.

“Those weasels! Never told me about any Marauder’s Map.” Ron spoke,
“He won’t keep it. He’ll turn it over to Professor McGonagall. Aren’t you?” Hermione asked,
“Sure. Along with his Invisibility Cloak.” I spoke.

“Oh, look who it is. Madam Rosmerta. Ron fancies her.” Hermione smirked, as we saw a woman with blonde curly hair hammering a sign to the wooden beam outside her pub,
“That’s not true!” Ron spoke.

We saw Cornelius arrive at the pub,
“Professor McGonagall,” he called,
“Cornelius!” McGonagall spoke.

“Allow me, Minister.” Hagrid pulled the door to the carriage off,
“Oh, Hagrid…” Cornelius spoke,
“Sorry about that.” Hagrid apologized.

“Rosmerta, my dear. I hope business if good.” Cornelius spoke,
“It’d be a lot better if the Ministry wasn’t sending dementors into my pub every other night!” Rosmerta complained,
“We have… We have a killer on the loose.” Cornelius spoke,
“Sirius Black in Hogsmeade! And what would bring him here?” Rosmerta asked,
“Harry Potter.” Cornelius whispered,
“Harry Potter?” Rosmerta spoke in shock.

We both looked at him as he was invisible and walked into the pub before we could stop him.

We waited outside for our friend, when we saw the door open we followed the footprints to a secluded area.

I heard a noise I didn’t want to. Hermione went to see to Harry but Ron grabbed her, I was too fast for Ron and pulled Harry’s cloak off him.
“What happened?” I asked and knelt down on the ground,
“He was their friend and he betrayed them. He was their friend! I hope he finds me. Because when he does, I’m gonna be ready! When he does, I’m gonna kill him!” Harry yelled. I grabbed his hand and stood up.

The snow had melted.

The sun was shining and the air was warm enough.

“Beautiful day.” Hermione spoke as we walked through the doors to the yard.
“Gorgeous. Unless you’ve been ripped to pieces!” Ron glared at Hermione,
“Ripped to pieces? What are you talking about?” Harry asked,
“Ronald has lost hi rat.” Hermione spoke,
“I haven’t lost anything! Your cat killed him!” Ron spoke,
“Rubbish.” Hermione shook her head as I walked next to Harry.

“Harry, Mei, you’ve both seen the way that bloodthirsty beast of hers is always lurking about. And Scabbers is gone.” Ron explained,
“My Tanzi has been gone since we got to Hogwarts… I don’t worry about him at all…” I explained,
“Maybe, Ronald, should take better care of his pets!” Hermione spoke,
“Your cat killed him!” Ron snapped again,
“Did not!” Hermione replied,
“Did.” Ron spoke,
“Didn’t,” Hermione glared.

We found Hagrid skipping stones across the water.

“How did it go, Hagrid? The hearing?” Hermione asked.

“Well, first off, the committee members took turns talking about why we were there.” Hagrid threw a stone, “I got up and did my piece. Said how Buckbeak was a good hippogriff, always cleaned his feathers. And then Lucius Malfoy got up. Well, you can imagine. He said Buckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature who would kill you as soon as he’d look at you.” Hagrid explained.

“And then?” Hermione asked,
“And then he asked for the worst, did old Lucius.” Hagrid spoke,
“They’re not sacking you!” Ron called,
“No, I’m not sacked.” Hagrid sighed.

“Buckbeak’s been sentenced to death!” Hagrid cried and threw the last stone to the water sharply.
