Lust for Darkness

Come Out, Come Out

There stood, Sirius Black.

I stood in front of my friends.

“I know that Animagus’ have a power over vampires but I’ll defend my friends until my corpse is burnt to ash,” I hissed,
“No. Only one will die tonight.” Sirius spoke.

“Then it’ll be you!” Harry yelled and ran past me tackling Sirius, pushing him to the ground and pulling his wand out.
“Harry, don’t!” I yelled,
“Are you going to kill me, Harry?” Sirius laughed.

The doors burst open and Lupin ran in,
Expelliarmus!” he shot Harry’s wand out of his hand.

Harry moved towards me as I grabbed his arm, Hermione grabbed onto me.

“Well, well, Sirius. Looking rather ragged, aren’t we? Finally, the flesh reflects the madness within." Lupin smirked looking down at Sirius,
"Well, you’d know all about the madness within, wouldn’t you?” Sirius spoke.

Lupin suddenly helped Sirius off the floor, they both embraced like old friends.

“I found him.” Sirius spoke,
“I know.” Lupin replied,
“It’s him.” Sirius smiled,
“I understand.” Lupin nodded,
“Let’s kill him!” Sirius grinned.

“No! I trusted you! And all this time, you’ve been his friend. He’s a werewolf! That’s why he’s been missing classes.” Hermione spoke,
“How long have you known? Did Meira tell you!” Lupin glared at me,
“No… she didn’t. It was since Professor Snape set the essay.” Hermione explained,
“Well, Hermione. You really are the brightest witch of your age I’ve ever met.” Lupin smirked.

“Enough talk, Remus! Come on, let’s kill him!” Sirius complained,
“Wait!” Lupin yelled,
“I did my waiting! Twelve years of it! In Azkaban!” Sirius yelled.

Lupin looked at us then handed his wand to Sirius,
“Very well. Kill him. But wait one more minute. Harry has the right to know why.” Lupin explained.

“I know why. You betrayed my parents. You’re the reason they’re dead!” Harry called,
“No, it wasn’t him. Somebody did betray your parents but it was somebody who, until quite recently, I believe to be dead!” Lupin explained.

I sensed another being in the building.

“Who was it, then” Harry yelled, as I held his arm,
“Peter Pettigrew! And he’s in this room! Right now! Come out, come out, Peter! Come out, come out and play!” Sirius yelled.

Expelliarmus!” Snape knocked the wand out of Sirius’ hand, “Vengeance is sweet. How I hoped I’d be the one to catch you.” Snape spoke,
“Severus--” Lupin spoke, Snape pointed his wand at Lupin,
“I told Dumbledore you were helping a friend into the castle. Here’s the proof.” Snape glared.

“Brilliant, Snape. Once again, you’ve put your keen mind to the task and come to the wrong conclusion. Now if you’ll excuse us, Remus and I have some unfinished business to attend to” Sirius explained as Snape put his wand under his throat,
“Give me a reason. I beg you!” Snape snapped.

“Severus, don’t be a fool.” Lupin spoke,
“He can’t help it. It’s habit.” Sirius spoke,
“Be quiet.” Lupin spoke,
“Be quiet yourself!” Sirius snapped.

“Look at you two, quarrelling like an old married couple.” Snape spoke,
“Why don’t you run along and play with your chemistry set!” Sirius snapped, Snape pushed his wand deeper to Sirius’ neck,
“I could do it, you know. But why deny the dementors? They’re so longing to see you. Do I detect a flicker of fear? Oh, yes. A Dementor’s Kiss. One can only imagine what that must be like. It’s said to be nearly unbearable to witness, but I’ll do my best.” Snape spoke.

I felt Harry’s arm move around my waist and my wand was being gently pulled from my pocket. I didn’t move as Ron pull Hermione towards him.

“After you!” Snape spoke, he then looked at us and nodded his head towards the door.

Harry raised my wand.
