Cheated in Love
Pre-Winter Ball Jitters
OH. MY. GOD! Winter Ball is tommorrow and I can hardly wait! I found the PERFECT dress shopping with Kristie and Ashley yesterday, it's a pale pink sparkly (but not overly sparkly) spaghetti strap dress that ends just above my knees. Kristie saw it first and forced me to try it on. Usually, as a rule, I DO NOT wear pink. The color just disgusts me, but this was very light so I didn't mind....AS MUCH. I smiled to myself as I remembered what Duncan had told me yesterday,
"You know Mannie...I REALLY like you...I can't wait 'til tommorrow...and you know how I usually feel about dances." He had smiled shyly as he said this, with pink cheeks. We havn't said "I love you" yet, it's still pretty early in our relationship. I sighed in content as I imagined walking into the school looking perfect with him waiting at the end of the stairs with a white rose in hand...I giggled, maybe I was getting ahead of myself. My phone vibrated on my desk making me jump since it was so quiet.
"Uh, hello?"
"Hey Mannie Girl!" the girl's voice that came out of the phone sounded happy and hyper.
"Oh, hi Ash. What's up?" I flopped on my bed and waited for her to speak.
"I have a date to the dance! Guess who." From her voice I could tell she was grinning.
"...uh...that jock in your Bio class that's always staring at your boobs?" Ashley had THE biggest boobs I've ever seen. It was almost unnatural. I heard her scoff,
"Oh GOD no...It's....KRRRRRRRRISTIE!!!!!"She burst into hysterical laugher and I just sighed....Ashley was such a dork.
"But no seriously, we're goin' stag cuz YOU'RE the only one with a date." I felt myself blush and replied stuttering,
"B-but th-that's c-cuz...um...w-we were alr-ready...ah...Meh." I sunk my head in defeat. I heard Ashley giggle,
"So me and Kistie will see you two love birds there! Love you bye!" and with that she hung up. I sighed and snapped my phone shut, tommorrow was going to be VERY interesting...
