Status: Title change. Because, let's be honest, the previous title was LAME. Haha.

Roommates

Seven.

September dragged on longer then it should have. I guess you could say that mine and Gerard's friendship 'grew' but it hasn't much changed. Yeah, we talk more, and don't bicker as much, but I wouldn't say that we were good friends just yet.

"Wakey wakey Frankie!" Gerard cheered, shaking me from my sleep. I opened my eyes to a room full of light and balloons.

"What the fuck man?" I groaned, pulling the covers over my head, trying to block out as much of the light as I could. But, Gerard just took the covers and ripped them off of me.

"No Frank. You know that today is your birthday, and your not gunna sleep any longer! Your gunna spend it awake, and doing stuff," He said, a huge smile tugging at the corners of his cheeks. I rolled my eyes and sat up.

"Sometimes I question why I ever talked to you," I groaned, sweeping my long bangs away from my eyes.

"C'mon, you know that sooner or later you would've talked to me, and we would've became friends anyways. So wake up! And get dressed. Gotta get to class. Sooner we get there, sooner we can get out and have some fun!"

I glared in Gerard's direction, and he didn't even seem to mind. His smile was wider then ever as he grabbed my forearm and drug me off my warm, comfortable bed.

I rummaged through my dresser looking through various band shirts, and novelty Tees. I was thinking about rocking my Homophobia is Gay shirt, but as I was going to take it out, I felt Gerard's hand grip my shoulder, and turn me around.

"Aye dude? What the hell?" I asked, pushing his hand away.

"Don't. I got you something," He stated simply, going over to his bed, and pulling out a multicolored bag, a bow attached to the side, and a card sitting onto. I couldn't help but smile.

"Wow. I wasn't really expecting anything. Uh, thanks?" I said awkwardly, carefully taking the bag from him. He nodded his head, and smiled a smile that showed off his pearly whites. My hands shook a little as I took the colored paper out. And there, folded and chilling at the bottom of the bag, was some sort of clothing. I raised an eyebrow in his direction.

"Take it out silly."

I chewed on my bottom lip as I took it out. When I saw what it was, I couldn't help but just stare at it in Awe.

"Oh god. Misfit's jacket? Holy fuck man, you awesome!" I nearly yelled, admiring the wonderful article of clothing. It was black, and had the word Misfits written out in red writing, and the famous Misfits skull occupying the center.

"Heh. No problem Frank. Glad you like it. But there's a card too, you gunna read it?" He asked, pointing down at my side, at the blue envelope that contained the card.

"Oh uh, yeah. I'll read it later dude. Cards aren't really my thing y'know?" I said, slipping the sweatshirt over my head. It was really warm and fuzzy on the inside, that made me really grateful to have, because the winters in New Jersey are crazy cold.

"Looks good on you," Gerard said, looking at me. His lips were pursed and he was nodding his head, as if approving what he saw.

"Thanks man. It's fucking warm in this thing. Love it," I mumbled the last part to myself. Gerard slapped his hands against his thighs, and stood up.

"Well, Imma get dressed too. But don't stare!" He warned, waving his finger at me. I scrunched up my nose, and huffed at his statement.

"Of course I'm not going to stare idiot. I'm not gay," I lied. I was gay, of course I was. And when Gerard wasn't paying attention, I would stare.

"I know your not. Just pulling your leg, shorty." He said, sliding off his pajama bottoms, and picking up a pair of black pants from off the ground. I couldn't help but stare at his ass as he bent over. It was just so, perfect. It wasn't flat and it wasn't saggy, and it wasn't fat. It was perfect. Plain and to the point.

When Gerard straitened himself, I immediately ripped my eyes away, and acted as if I was staring at the floor instead of his arse.

"Kay, you ready to get to class?" He asked, sliding the strap of his Jan sport over his shoulder, and making his way past me and towards the door.

"Oh uh, no. Lemme get some pants on and I guess I'll meet you downstairs. In a few?"

Gerard nodded his head and waved as he shut the door behind him. I chewed on my bottom lip some more before pulling out my ripped black skinny jeans. I thought they looked good with my new sweatshirt. I went over to grab my backpack, when the blue envelope caught my eye. I sighed and picked it up, examining the front of the card.

All the front said was, 'Happy Birthday Frank'. Nothing all too special. I flipped it over, and tore it open. The card was from none other, then Hallmark. The card design was rather simple. It had pumpkins and a ghost on the front, which went with the Halloween thing. I opened the card, and Gerard had written something under the oh so common 'Happy Halloween' phrase already printed on the card.

'Frank, I hope you have a very special birthday. Don't let anything get you down on your special day,
- Gerard

I couldn't help but blush furiously at the card. It was sweet, and made my heart melt. I was glad that I didn't read the card in front of Gerard, because I know that if I did, it would've shown my true colors, and how much of a teenage girl I am when it comes to sappy cards and shit.

I carefully placed the Halloween Birthday card in my backpack, and pushed my way past the red, orange, and black balloons, and out the door.
