Hidden in the Shadows
Chapter Nine
March 6th, 2011
Sunday
Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
6:47 P.M.
When the girls walked down the street in their Bruins jerseys they instantly started getting yelled at by tons of people. Raina smirked to herself as they walked into the elevator. Walking down the street was always brutal but not nearly as bad as being inside the arena. On the way up the escalator some yelled
“Hey go back to Boston!!”
“You go back to your mother’s basement!” yelled Raina. The girls went straight to their seats and saw both the teams out on the ice practicing. Raina watched Milan circle around the ice without his helmet. She smiled to herself; they had no idea they were there. Milan was passed the puck and he took a shot on the net, getting it in. The game started and when the Bruins scored five minutes into the game the three girls stood up and obnoxiously cheered, only to be booed by the people all around them. Suddenly the Fan Cam cut to them on the bug screen. The entire arena booed as they kept dancing. She saw several of the players on the bench look up. Milan looked up and must of seen her because he began looking around and searching for her. Their secret was out. The Cam went off of them and onto Canadians fans.
“Hey Looch look!” said Horton. Milan looked up at the big screen and as shocked to see Raina, Jasmiina, and Sheena dancing.
“How the hell did they get here?” said Tuukka who had come over and joined them from the net. Milan began looking for Raina in the crowd. She couldn’t be that hard to find, the three of them were a dot of black and gold amongst a sea of red and blue. He still couldn’t find them and before he knew it the whistle as blown and the game was back on. He gave up trying to find her and skated over to the face off. They must have driven here, that’s why he had heard the GPS in the background earlier. Milan shifted his attention back to the game.
The game ended with the Bruins winning in overtime 3-2. The girls quickly ran out of the arena, ignoring people’s insults and drove back to the hotel as fast as they could. When they got into the lobby they waited out on a group of couches in front of a fireplace. When the boys walked in a half hour later Raina jumped up and ran over to Milan and hugged him tightly around the waist. He hugged her back, kissed her on the cheek and whispered
“I’m sooo glad you’re here,” Raina looked up at him and said
“Were you thrilled when you saw me on the big screen?”
“Absolutely,” he said. Tuukka walked in looking confused
“Hi Tuuk!!” said Raina beaming at him.
“How did you get here?” said Tuukka
“Me, Raina, and Sheena drove here,” said Jasmiina coming over. “It was a road trip.” Tuukka kissed Jasmiina and said
“Well I’m glad you came.” As Raina was listening to Thorton talk about a fight he’d gotten into Milan grabbed her from behind and pulled her to his body. He whispered
“Let’s go up to the room,” she smirked and said
“Why?”
“I want you,” he said in a low growl into her ear.
“You get really horny on the road without me don’t you?”
“All the time,” he said.
“Aren’t you all done for the day from when you called me on the phone earlier?”
“No I can go again.” Raina laughed and said
“Alright,” Raina listened to the rest of Thorton’s story and then the two headed upstairs. When the stepped into the elevator and the doors shut Milan instantly grabbed Raina and pushed her against the wall. “Calm down, wait until we get to the room,” she said giggling. As he set her back down Raina saw the crazy desire in his dark brown eyes. He kept his hands on her hips as they waited for the elevator to reach their floor.
“You know how hot I think all the changes your body is going through are. It’s so fucking sexy,” he moaned into her ear. He ran his hands from her hips, over her stomach and up to her chest. When the elevator finally opened he grabbed her by the hand and led her towards the room as fast as he could. He fumbled with the card key as he tried to slide it into the door. “Dammit,” he said as his first attempt to get it open failed. After trying a second time and failing Raina took it from him and easily got it open herself. Milan pushed all of his weight onto the door and busted it open. He grabbed her, slammed the door shut and carried her to the bed, trying to pull off of her clothes in the process. Raina giggled as he set her onto the bed and pulled his shirt off, revealing his wide muscled chest. The one thing Raina didn’t like about being pregnant was how much gentler Milan had to be. Instead of being able to just throw her onto the bed he had to gently place her there. She liked it rougher. She helped him pull off his belt and pants and before they knew it they were both completely naked. They had to try new things now that her belly got in the way, Milan being on top didn’t work anymore for them. But it didn’t matter the night was still passionate and it satisfied the both of them. As they lay next to each other in the dark afterwards Milan said
“I’m so happy you came tonight,”
“I couldn’t stand to be away from you another night.” She said. Exhausted from the game and sex they both easily fell asleep. For the first night in almost a week Raina had happy dreams about living in a cute little house in Vancouver with Milan and the two babies. She didn’t wake up at all throughout the night and woke up feeling well rested. The flight to Buffalo was at 11:00 and they weren’t rushing as Raina helped Milan pack up his things.
“The girls and I will just drive down to Buffalo and meet up with you it’s a six hour drive but if we leave the same time as your flight does we should be down there in time for the game.” There was a pause in their conversation when Milan said
“Claude told us the date of Anna and Rick’s wake and funeral.” Raina felt sadness begin to tug at her heart again and she said
“Where is it taking place?”
“His parents wanted it to be in Boston because that’s where he would have achieved his hockey dreams. He’s gonna be buried here to, and since Anna’s parents wanted Rick to be buried with her he’ll be in Boston too.”
“It must be horrible for them.” said Raina. “I want to know who did this to them.”
“Me too,” he said coming over to her wrapping his arms around her in a comforting hug.
There was a horrible silence between the two as they finished up packing. Both were thinking about Anna and Rick but didn’t want to talk about it. When they finished they went downstairs to put Milan’s luggage with the rest of the team’s. Raina kissed Milan goodbye when the bus that would take them to the airport came and then the girls all piled back into the car and headed out to Buffalo.
