Lust for Death

Death Of A Loved One

On the way to the Burrows a few Death Eaters attacked us.

Stupefy!” I casted a spell and a Death Eater fell,
Expelliarus!” my mother called as another Death Eater fell.

Then Voldemort appeared near us, my mother pulled on my father shoulder and dragged him both in front of me. Voldemort disappeared moments later, though something was wrong.

My father ran very quickly ahead of me,
“Father!” I screamed running after him as fast as I could just barely keeping up with him.

My dad quickly ran in the house yelling about something as I stood outside and fell on my knees out of breath as I looked at the ground.

Harry, Hermione and Ron out towards me.

Hermione hugged me as she looked like she had been crying,
“What’s wrong?” I asked, looking between my friends, everybody’s expression scared me as I looked at the house.

“No…” I shook my head, closing my eyes, “No…” I opened them as Harry pulled me into a hug, “Not my mother…” I started to cry as Mrs. Weasley walked out, I screamed and fell on my knees with Harry holding me. Mrs. Weasley put her arms around me and they both helped me into the house.

I saw my father walk down he looked at me seriously. I ran over and hugged him dearly,
“She protected you.” My father spoke, I looked up at him with shock as I looked back at Harry.

I went running upstairs and saw my mother’s body laying on a bed with a cover over her. I walked up to her and fell on my knees and held her cold hand, my mother’s skin had always been warm, soft and full of life.

But as I held her hand, it was cold and still, I could no longer feel the blood run through her veins. I started to cry again as I buried my head in the bed sheets she was laying under.

I felt a hand land on my back gently as Harry knelt down besides me,
“I’m sorry.” Harry spoke,
“There’s nothing for you to be sorry for.” I spoke, “my mother protected me from death, it’s what parents are supposed to do for their children. It’s why my mother’s been so distant the last few months… I know that she knew something was coming, she knew she was going to die. And yet she didn’t stop it.” I spoke, Harry looked confused, “Mad-Eye is dead also, isn’t he?” I asked, Harry nodded as I wiped my face and looked at him, “We won’t let them die in vein. Ok?” I asked, Harry smiled at me and pulled me into a warm hug, “Please don’t leave my side. Ever.” I whispered as Harry squeezed me,
“I promise.” Harry spoke, I looked at him with a small smile as Harry helped me stand, Harry hugged me dearly as I closed my eyes.

“Mei.” My father spoke suddenly Harry quickly let go of me as we both looked at him,
“Yes?” I looked at him,
“I’m leaving now. To go and find help.” My father spoke, I nodded and bowed my head down as he walked over, “You’ll be safe here. Enjoy the wedding. You will see me again.” My father spoke as I smiled at him with a tear in my eye, my father kissed my forehead and walked to the door, “Oh, and Mr. Potter,” my father looked back at Harry,
“Yes, sir?” Harry asked,
“Please look after my daughter.” My father smiled, Harry nodded,
“Certainly, sir.” Harry spoke,
“Call me Richard, after all we’ve been through and how much you have looked after my daughter, I think a first name basis would be good for both of us, Harry.” My father smiled as Harry returned the smile with a nod.

I had my head bowed down as Harry gently taken my hand.
