Lust for Death

Gringotts

“Madam Lestrange!” the goblin jumped in horror, “Dear me! How – how may I help you today?” the goblin asked,
“I wish to enter my vault,” Hermione spoke, she was doing a good job of acting like Bellatrix for sure, the goblin recoiled a little in horror. Most of the other goblins were looking and watching the scene, I nudged Harry and he soon noticed this also.
“You have… identification?” the goblin asked,
“Identification? I – I have never been asked for identification before.” Hermione snapped,
They know.” Griphook whispered to us both, “They must have been warned there might be an impostor!” Griphook explained, I looked at Harry with a slight frown on worry.

“Your wand will do, Madam.” The goblin spoke, holding out his shaking hand. Harry and myself both realised that the goblins knew that Bellatrix’s wand was in fact stolen.
Act now, act now,” Griphook whispered harshly, “the Imperius Curse!” Griphook added, I held Harry lightly as he raised Draco’s wand and pointed at the goblin on the desk,
Imperio!” Harry whispered.

The goblin did not seem to react, but it was clear that the spell was working,
“Ah, you have had a new wand made, Madam Lestrange!” the goblin spoke,
“What?” Hermione replied in shock, “No, no, that’s mine—”
“A new wand?” Travers looked confused as he approached the counter again, “But how could you have done, which wandmaker did you use?” Travers spoke, Harry quickly reacted once more and casted the same spell on Travers, “Oh yes, I see,” Travers nodded and stepped backwards, Hermione’s face clearly stated that she had no idea what was going on.

But she wasn’t going to protest as the other goblin stepped down,
“I shall need the Clankers,” he spoke to another goblin who disappeared for a moment, but then returned with a leather bag which sounded to have a lot of metal on the inside. “Good, good! So, if you will follow me, Madam Lestrange,” the goblin hopped off his stool vanishing from my sight for a moment, “I shall take you to your vault.” The goblin appeared once again at the end of the counter, walking cheerfully passed us, the leather bag jingling like it was Christmas time.

Another Goblin appeared muttering something to him but he just brushed him off and carried on. Harry made Travers follow us down the halls to the main doors, as soon as they closed Harry pulled off the cloak.

“They suspect something, the tension in the air is too much.” I spoke, Griphook jumped down from Harry’s shoulders,
“They’re Imperiused.” Harry spoke, explaining to Ron and Hermione why Travers and Bogrod weren’t reacting. “I don’t think I did it strongly enough, I don’t know…” Harry spoke, I put my hand on his shoulder.

“What shall we do? Shall we get out now, while we can?” Ron asked,
“If we can.” Hermione spoke, I listened hard to see if I could hear any commotion, but the doors were too thick,
“I can’t hear anything.” I spoke,
“We’ve got this far, I say we go on,” Harry spoke, I agreed with him and nodded,
“Good! So, we need Bogrod to control the cart; I no longer have authority. But there will not be room for the wizard. And there will definitely not be enough room for all of us. We only planned this with you three. The Vampire was not mentioned.” Griphook pointed at me,
“I don’t need that pathetic little machine Goblin.” I snapped, and then shook my head, “Sorry… vampire trait.” I apologized, “I can climb along the walls. How far do I need to go?” I asked Griphook,
“Until you reach the end of trail, the vault is very deep inside.” Griphook spoke, I nodded.

I walked to the edge and jumped on the machine, I looked at the wall and then leapt forward onto the wall climbing all the way.

I heard the others clamber onto the machine as I heard the mechanics set off. The machine was quicker then I expected as it caught up with me as I passed a waterfall. I fell though it and lost my grip on the rocks.

Hermione screamed something quickly as we all hit the ground softly.

“C-Cushioning Charm,” Hermione explained, Ron helped her up as I coughed through the water, my head hurt immensely as I looked up at Harry who helped me stand,
“Are you okay?” Harry asked, I nodded and held my head,
“The Thief’s Downfall.” Griphook spoke, pushing himself back on his feet. “It washes away all enchantment, all magical concealment! They know there are impostors in Gringotts, they have set off defences against us!” Griphook explained.

I looked at Hermione to see she was back to herself, it was the same with Ron, his ginger hair had returned and he no longer had a beard. I looked back at Bogrod and saw him shake his head,
“Harry!” I pointed at Bogrod,
“We need him!” Griphook called,
Imperio!” Harry said again, casting the same spell, it worked and taken over the Goblin.

“Harry, I think I can hear people coming!” Hermione spoke, and pointed her wand to the waterfall, “Protego!” she casted. The Shield Charm broken the enchantment as it flew up the tunnel.
“Good thinking, lead the way, Griphook.” Harry spoke holding me as I gripped his arm.
“How are we going to get out again?” Ron asked,
“Let’s worry about that when we have to,” Harry replied as he put my arm around his shoulder, that waterfall did something to me. I can barely see where I’m going… and a blind vampire is a dead vampire… my sense of smell is making things clearer but not amazingly clear. “Griphook, how much further?” Harry asked,
“Not far, Harry Potter, not far… though I think the water has blinded that Vampire girlfriend of yours.” Griphook spoke, yes, my eyes were closed as Harry helped me along.
“Mei, are you okay?” Hermione asked,
“I can’t see a thing but I’m guessing it will wear off… I’ll just use my sense of smell from now on… and I can smell something horrid.” I explained.

“Well horrid was a good guess.” Harry muttered, I looked at him, my eyes still closed,
“What is it?” I whispered.

“A Dragon.”
