Moving Along
She turned to him in the darkness,
“If I ever run to you, let me fall in your arms, then just pick me up and send me off, so that I can continue moving along.”
He couldn’t see her. She can’t go alone. he thought, She doesn’t really want it that way...
“Don’t.” she told him “Don’t say it. I shouldn’t have to explain it to you.”
And with that, she was gone. He could tell by the way the silence hung in the air.
