Something to Remember

Days take months. Months take years. Those five minutes to the bell feels like hours. Time moves so slowly. Everything moves so slowly because everyone is trying to live so fast. The next day comes and no one can remember a thing. The lessons take literal years to sink in when you don’t take a second to pause.

There’s no way to slow down though. You have to speed up, keep up; live fast with the rest of the world. If you stop, you can’t stop, they’ll all pass you by. The world doesn’t stop; if the world stopped we’d be thrown into the Sun. The people don’t stop; if the people stop they’ll all be lost.

I remember when I wanted to stop time completely though. I remember that.

I remember wanting to remember every split second of time. I remember that.

I remember never having enough time. I remember that.
