Barbie Doll

1/1

A Barbie doll. She would be made to perfection. Absolute perfection.

No one can see, that she’s not what she's meant to be. She was created to please children. Keep them entertained and busy.

She likes to be held, because then she doesn't feel as lonely as she really is. She does not feel as empty and molded out. She does not feel the breaking of her imaginary heart.

She feels loved and needed. Like she’s the only one able to bring a smile to the sad kid's face. Like...She could do anything.

Those feelings don't last long as she breaks with time. Her limbs do not move as easily, her legs glossed over with many things from the previous years.

She is old now, but still looks perfect. She is still happy when she’s held, she’s still barely holding on.

Her child is old now, giving her away. Giving her to another child, who should surely play with her.

Barbie is ruined, though it may not seem like it. She still smiles, the perfect smile that was plastered onto her perfect face.

She's changed since the beginning, she knows better now.

She'll always be alone.

Always be a shell.
