Into The Light

Chapter 3.

Breathing deeply, my body is wrapped in three layers of wool and a layer of goosedown. I'm running with a few other soliders that have been trained in this bitter climate. My beak is covered by a scarf because if I breathed in the air my throat would freeze. I've wrapped my talons in tape that's over a crap load of cloth. I've stopped wearing normal shoes and skipped to leather. They trained my body to be more adaptible and more durable. They treat me better here too. Still when I get back to my room I'm in tears. I miss Willow Clark more then life itself could ever miss light. I'm holding on to my memories.

I walk up to the window in my room and open it keeping my scarf on," Tell Willow I'm in alaska. Tell her I'm safe."
