‹ Prequel: Left In The Dark
Into The Light
Chapter 30.
Aaron descended until he hit the ground. I saw people surround him. Finny was hit and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was dead.
“Aaron.” I choked out. I heard Alex’s shaky breathing. It was quiet as further gunshots echoed through the trees.
“Is he dead?” I said, turning to Alex. He just looked away.
“I asked if he was dead!” I shouted, my face heating up. Alex just glanced to me.
“Willow.” He whispered.
“You don’t know…” I whispered, as he pulled me into his arms.
“Willow you need to understand.” He began.
“You don’t know.” I said louder.
“Willow, listen to me.” He stated.
“You’re useless! You don’t know!” I yelled, pushing him off me.
“No one can know if we’re all the way back here.” He stuttered out.
“Admit it! He may be dead!” I screamed.
“Yes he may.” He said, quietly.
All the anger and rage seemed to empty out of me, as I fell to my knees.
I chocked out a cry. He can’t be dead. It’s Aaron.
He can’t.
