Smoke And Mirrors

Beautiful Moonlight

"What are you guys doing?" Blake asks. Garrett's blue orbs immediatley find Sierra's. Her beautiful hair is wet and sticks to her head. Her make up has run a little, but she doesn't really seem to care. It looks like she had a lot of fun with her friends.

Garrett feels a stinging feeling of jealousy when he notices that Jared is in the pool as well. With no shirt on. Garrett's eyes widen a bit in surprise when he sees how muscular Jared actually is. Garrett is just skinny, not musclar at all.

Garrett feels so stupid to not have been on time. They got stuck in the elevator. They were heading down like maybe five minutes after ten and the elevator suddenly stopped moving. They first thought that they were already on the ground floor, but the doors didn't open. After an hour and a half someone noticed that there was something wrong and finally got the elevator open.

Now he is here and it seems like he missed a lot. It seems like Jared is winning her heart, because Sierra was laughing with the jokes he made before Blake spoke and made their presence known. She seemed really caught up in him. Billie was yelling at her and she didn't even hear her.

"Come on," Sierra says, her eyes on Blake and the girl next to him. Vail looks so innocent standing there, looking through the fence at the people in the pool. "Get in."

"How?" Blake asks. It's obvious that the pool is closed. There's a thick lock around the door handle. Though, there must be some way, since Sierra and all the other ones are in there.

"Climb over the fence." Blake does what Sierra has told him to do to be soon followed by Vail and then the boys from The Maine. All the boys jump into the pool as well, except for Vail and Jared (Monaco). He has never been much of a swimmer and neither has Vail. They take a seat on two of the sunbeds.

"Why are you here sitting alone?" Garrett asks as he takes a seat next to Sierra on a sunbed. Some of the people has come out of the pool because it's starting to get pretty cold. They're scattered around the place, talking to each other, but Sierra is just sitting on her own.

"Enjoying the beautiful moonlight," she says, turning her head to Garrett. A small smile grows on her face as her eyes meet his. They're so beautiful. Even though they're ice blue, they don't seem cold at all. They're really warm and welcoming. "And a little thinking."

"About what?"

"Right now?" she asks, eying Garrett again. He nods his head. "In all honesty?" Another nod of his head. "Your eyes are so goddamn beautiful."

Garrett's heart skips a beat the moment the words left her mouth and his cheeks start to heat up immediatley. He looks down at his hands that are fumbling with the hem of his shirt. His eyes are beautiful? Oh come on, hers change color. That's way cooler than his boring blue. But he mumbles a small thank you.

He lift his eyes up and his heart skips another beat if he's immediatley met with Sierra's green orbs. She stares at him for a while and he can't do anything but stare back at her. His heart is racing in his chest twice as fast as it normally does. He's arfaid it might pound out of his chest.

That's the moment. That's the fucking moment! Why doesn't he move closer? Why is he still staring at her? His lips should have been hers by now. The anticipation is killing her. Why isn't he making a move? Why is he torturing her so much? He has to do something.

She moves her head a little closer to Garrett's. His eyes widen is surprise. What is she doing? Is she- is she trying to kiss him? That can't be true. He thought she wanted Jared. Perfect little Jared. He is nothing compared to Jared.

But you know, maybe he should just take advantage of it. Because honestly, all he really wants to do now is just kiss her. His lips against her perfect, beautiful ones. What is holding him back? Just go for it! Fucking go for it.

And that's the moment when their lips finally collide. Sierra's eyes immediately flutter shut. She's so relieved that he finally did it. She thought he would stare at her forever and never make a move.

His lips feel so soft, so perfect against hers. It's like it's meant to be. It's like God has really want to unit their lips in a sweet, passionate kiss. Her heart has never beat so fast in her life. It's like it wants to escape from her body, so it can be together with Garrett's.

Her hands find his hair. Oh God, she loves his hair. It's everything but perfect. She loves how it looks like a total mess, probably not washed in days. She loves the I-don't-care-how-my-hair-looks-because-it's-cool-anyway-look. It's just so perfect for Garrett.

His hand strokes her cheek. There's such a big difference between the soft skin from her cheeks and the roughness of his hand. And it still fits. It's an amazing feeling how sweet his hand strokes her cheek, like he's afraid she might break if he touches her too rough.

Eventually Sierra pulls away, totally out of breath. She looks Garrett in the eye and a sweet smile appears on her beautiful face. Garrett gives her a smile back, also run out of breath and his cheeks still a bit red.

They don't say a word, but no words are need to be said. Sierra pulls him back to her and presses her lips against his again. She softly pushes him back, making him lay down in the sunbed. She lays next to him, his arm around her waist keeping her safe.
