Things Kept Hidden

Meeting someone who understands

The ride to Brian's home was about halfway over when Haily broke the ice.

"So how old are you?" She sounded nervous
"Twenty-one." He said chewing his lip.
The awkward silence returned for a couple of minutes.
"There are going to be some rules. Curfew's at ten. When I say go to your room, you go to your room, no questions asked. If I say forget something, You forget it. You listen to me, and I'll listen to you. That's it." He mumbled.
"Sounds fair enough." Said Haily awkwardly.
He put his hand on her thigh. "Things are going to be okay kid."
Haily shifted awkwardly in her seat. His hand didnt budge.
"So where do you go to school? Haily continued nervously shifting in her seat practically forcing him to move his hand. He nonchalantly moved his hand back to the wheel. The car twisted neatly into a spot in the parking lot.

"I'll help you with your things." He said opening his door.
Haily was starting to think that she would rather be with her parents. Too late now. She walked slowly back to the trunk and grabbed her bags.

Not finished, Sorry, i have to go.
